Please give me your opinion of a Kota longbow, the classic type made 9-10 years ago with only moderate reflex/deflex. Who makes it and where is he located? I'm considering buying one and would like to learn more about it. I want a super quiet bow for deer hunting with little or no hand shock, and very decent speed cause I don't shoot a heavy weight. I assume it will be pretty forgiving since it doesn't have a lot of deflex reflex, although this one is only 62" long. (I want a shorter one for hunting) I think this one is most like the present Badlands longbow he makes, which ever model is like the older classic longbow.

I've owned a few Kota longbows and recurves--I like them very much. I especially like his TD longbow, the Prairie Nomad. Tim's designs have evolved over the years, but they all shoot well.
My buddy shoots one; darn nice bow and fast.
The proof is in the pudding. You sure don't see many on the classifieds.
BOUGHT ONE AT DENTON HILL THIS SUMMER. WELL MADE AND DEFINITELY A SHOOTER.
I own a Kota long bow. Love it, that is, when I can get it away from my son. Tim is a terrific bowyer and a helluva good guy, too. Can't go wrong. Fast, smooth, beautiful. What else is there?
Tim talked to me on the phone one day for 30 min. Good people. Check out his Killum.
I like the Badlands the best. I'd like to see it in a two piece sleeve system.
