Title: Byron Ferguson longbow Question
Post by: highpockets on September 11, 2009, 08:47:00 PM
I have a Byron Ferguson "Royal Safari", 75#@28, Bamboo under clear glass with (what looks like) Bubinga riser with bloodwood hi-lite, w/Micarta tips. It was hand made and signed by Byron for a friend of mine.

I'll have to admit that it's a pretty.

He needs to sell it; anybody have a rough idea of it's worth?

Thanks

Thats a tough call, used bows are not selling as well as they used to.With the heavy draw weight, you just need to find the right buyer looking for a heavy weight bow.I would guess maybe $200 to $400.I have seen alot of bows sell for less then they are worth with todays economy.

Yes,in this market, the weight is the problem! But, it was made by Byron and he doesn't build them anymore, I think Zach does.

I wouldn't take less than 300.  Hold on to it, and wait for the big turn around in the economy. Or maybe have someone reduce the weight for you!

It's signed and he didn't make alot of them, you might regret. Have fun and good shootin, Steve

Thanks guys, good info!

I e-mailed Byron and he said that all he could say for sure is that it retailed for $800 when he sold it.
