Getting ready to build some new arrows for the two new Saluki bows that I have on order.
Plan on using Sitka Spruce shafts.
What do you guys think is the best/strongest glue on nock. One of the bows is a Mughal crab style horn bow and will be in the 80# range the other in the 65# range is one of Lukas's Damascus horse bow styles.
all the best,

My favorites were/are the pressure fitting mercury nock (the real one's).
I've been shooting the Bohning Classics for several years now without a hitch, but then I'm not shooting 80 lb. The Nirk nocks always looked pretty beefy to me. I think I still have some in my nock drawer. Are you thinking 11/32 or 5/16?
Pretty sure that I am going to use Hildebrands shafts, and they have 23/64 up to 80# with no taper and have 11/32 with a taper to 5/16 up to75# . I Am going to give them a call and see if they can supply the 23/64 with a taper as well.
For the horn bow I have also thought of splicing a contrasting hard wood and doing sinew or silk wrapped/reinforced self nocks for a dozen special arrows.

I've made a few dozen now and used the 5/16th Bear Paw nocks from Kustom King...$1.10 for a dozen and I have noticed "No Pinch" and have a very small indicator on them...They come in Barred colors also...The green looks cool...You also get 5% off all orders off thier website...If you haven't tried the Bear Paw products give them a try...
