Title: TS+ Stretch?
Post by: mrpenguin on September 07, 2009, 04:44:00 AM
I got some TS+ strings when I bought my Robertson.  The strings were made by 3 Trees and very well made...  that said, I reset my bh quite a bit... does ts+ have a lot of stretch?

I have never had a TS+ string.  I do have TS-1 strings on all of my bows.  I know they changed something in the formula along the way from TS-1 to TS+ but I am not exactly sure what it was.  Once my strings were set in they haven't changed since.  I found TS-1 to be the quietest string material there was which is why I like it so much.  Dick himself even commented several times about how quiet my Gozhawk is with the TS-1 string is on it.

Joseph is right about the lack of noise aspect. But, like you, I  have found it to stretch a bit for a period of time. Knowing that I check the brace height regularly until it gets "set in". I like how the string shoots and the lack of noise. I shoot it on my DAS bow and set up my wife's DAS with the same string material.

I put mine on yesterday from 3Trees and probably put about 75 shots on it and the BH hasn't moved a whole lot, just 1/16".  Great string! Never had TS plus before.  So far so good.

Scratch that lol.  It's 5/16th low now.  hopefully when it sets it's set!

Depending on how the string is made and the number of twists, it can take a bit to settle in.

It does creep more than some of the other low-stretch materials, but it seems to make the quietest string for my bows.
