Title: I never thought I would shoot these colors
Post by: Weekend Warrior on September 05, 2009, 11:03:00 PM
If Fred Eichler can do it ! So can I, at least shoot pink fletching anyway. I wanted something I could see this year. I don't think I'll have any problem with these.

They look great. I shot the same combo last year with a white wrap. They look pretty soaked in blood   :)

Yep, I've been doing it for years.
After the initial ribbing from the guys, they all agree that you sure can see them.

I like either white, or chartreuse.  Pink clashes with my loden green tights.

Those are lovely, my dear. I think it is wonderful that you have found another outlet for your artistic nature.   :D

I used to say that nothing shone out in the woods like white, but then I discovered pink.

They really do stand-out. My mate Tony shoots some pretty gaudy arrows, and they are indeed easier to find!

Killdeer, those sure are nice!

Where can I buy RW pink fletches?  Have been using blue and chartreuse, and want something to
fire up my 2 brothers when they see pink.

Cute guys.......

"Executive Secretary: Crusty Curmudgeon Society of The USA."
I see someonelse reads McManus.

The thought of George in green tights makes me shiver, and NOT with excitement. Now my coffee tastes bitter.

If I had pink fletching, my daughter would start horking my arrows for herself.  Yellows, chartreuses and oranges for me for now.

I always thought that pink fletching was used to lower the spine of the shaft ...

Afraid to use 'em because of that.

Don't they really belong on flamingos?

Golly George, you really have issues with ol' Jeff.

Rest assured that I know he belongs to another tribe, but since I carry both a CDIB and blue card signed by Lela J. Ummertiskee (Tribal Registrar), and all of my mother's people are buried in Oak Grove Cemetary outside of Stilwell, OK, that Jeff is okay with the people.

All kidding aside, their earliest graves predate the Trail of Tears, about 75 years before  the "Sooners" galloped in from the East with their notions of pink feathers and Wild West Show headdresses.

I love pink feathers on my stumping arrows, cuz it is the best color I can see laying in the woods, but still prefer all white and wrap on my hunting arrows, can still pick it up better in flight and low light and just something about those pink or red tinged white feathers after the shot that gets me!  Mark

I've been thinking about going pink... but I really like my white wrap with white barred feathers and a red cock feather... that does disappear sometimes though.
