Title: Lucky Man! New RER Bow!
Post by: Goke on September 04, 2009, 04:26:00 PM
This last winter/spring my wonderful wife heard me talking about the new RER clxr and asked if that is what I wanted for an early Christmas present from her and the kids. Of course the answer was, YES! Kevin and Sue were great to work with as everyone indicated. My bow arrived a few weeks ago. I haven't been able to shoot it much as I've been hunting antelope and getting ready for elk I've shot it enough to tell it will be great. Its 58" with the longbow limbs and 57# at 28" and 56" with the recurve limbs and 60# at 28". Woods are Bacote and Macassar Ebony. Here are some pics. RER builds a beautiful bow!

Oh you're going to love that one - Kevin and Sue make an OUTSTANDING bow.  And that one's absolutely beautiful!

If you ever need a bow sitter, I'll happily donate me time.   :D      :archer:

I think thats the best looking RER I've seen, and thats saying something.  Though, I'm partial to snakeskin, I love the riser contrast here.

I don't think I have seen that wood combo with the bacote in the middle like that, and I really like it. I don't always like bacote veneers, but those are very nice.  Get your wife something nice for Christmas!

Man, that's sharp! Sweet looking bow!  One of these days...lol.  Pretty neat to have recurve and longbow limbs for it too.

Thanks everyone. I have been playing around with the recurve limbs a bit while I get ready to elk hunt. I usually prefer longbows but I'm really impressed and amazed at the smoothness and speed of the recurve limbs on this bow. I also need to give Kevin credit for some of the wood choices, he was kind enough to spend some time with me on the phone talking me through the pros and cons.
