Am going to start my first efforts in tuning arrows to my bow. Where should the nock point begin and does the arrow sit ontop of the point or below it. Should I set initial brace at a fistmel. When reducing length how much should I reduce it by each time. The arrows I have now are hellical fletched, however I don't have a hellical jig so was going to fletch off set. This is for the bare shafts after I have them tuned, will this affect the tune of the set up. I am using 2315's and a 55# bear grizzly with 125gr tips. I have a couple of 175gr broadheads so what would I have to do to get them tuned. I was thinking of using some other arrows for them. Not sure yet.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I have O. L. Adcocks writup on tuning and was going to start with that.

If you have OL's writeup,it should tell you exactly how to find your brace height and then where to start your nocking point.Put your arrow knock under the nocking point on the string.
I don't know anything about offset fletch.I use only helical.
Tuning the arrows to your bow will require cutting a little shaft length off at a time(if they start off weak) or changing point weights or a combination of both,finding what shoots best.
I tune mine using screw in points and I made sure I had a variety of different weights to try before I started.I find it ideal to have three bare shaft arrows and three that are identical but fletched and plenty of different weight points to try.All this should be in OL's writings on the planing method of tuning.
It helped me a lot but I find that I need to go back and read it over from time to time to let it all sink in.You should too.
