Well this is my first time trying to post with photobucket. Here are some pictures of my most recent [Sept. 1st] "traditional harvest" taken with my 56# Shawnee. I was hunting with "Chris Hill" [one of the guys featured in Bowhunting Reflections].
The deer [3x3 Mulie] was taken Sept.1st in Central WA. Shot was close to 27 yards.... Skewered the heart and lungs. Traveled about 30 yards and all over in less than 5 seconds. Just the way we like them. Now I have to wait untill the 8 th of Sept for Elk Season to open.
Gene
Well, That did not work... I have a new Photobucket account. Can someone explain to me how to get my pictures from there to here? :help:
Wow. A white deer in the snow; and you in snow camo! Nice deer. :p don't ya love photobucket?
:banghead:
:campfire:
Gene,
E-mail the pic to me and I can probably post it later this evening. dugly51@yahoo.com

Gene,
Under the pic on Photobucket there should be 4 different image links. Take the bottom one, right-click on it and "copy".
then "paste" into your topic. It will show up as a long text link. You can then click on "preview post" to see if it came through before actually posting it.
Make sure the pic is the right size too, or it may get deleted. That is easy to to do by clicking "edit picture" while still on Photobucket.

Come on Guys....cut me some slack :knothead: The deer was taken Tuesday, Sept 1st and the 8th is when I get to start chasing Roosevelt Elk in SW Washington. Just talked with Thomas Taylor and he's going to post pictures for me this morning.
There are also a couple pictures of the entrance and exit sides of the deer after the No Mercy Single Bevel did it's job.....Not for the timid!!!
This deer did not make 30 yards [3 -4 bounds] or live 5 seconds after the hit. Truly a devasting broadhead. Keepin mind, it hit ribs [partially] both going in and going thru, and was stuck in the off shoulder. You can see it in one picture after removing the shoulder. All of that was actually done by the broadhead [and not enhanced at all].
I actually had to remove that shoulder to get arrow out as it broke off on the entrance side and had the heart and lungs skewered inside the body cavity. I could not remove them until removing the shaft inside the body cavity. :wavey:
Congratulations. Great shot. Hope the elk Gods are smiling on you.
Outstanding!
Great pics too!
Dang! Good shot!
Just awesome Gene:. Great shooting. Tell everyone your setup. Wish I could have been there with you. Next year. Of course we have Elk Hunting coming up. :campfire:
Brock

Great shot! All the best on elk, now!
Way to go Gene!!
Let everyone pray for good elk hunting in DEC!!!!!!
Gene can have good hunting in Sept though, that's ok with me so long as the arrow gods agree.
Darn nice shooting and a great broadhead for sure. I am heading out hunting for five days at the coast deer and bear for three days and then elk is on!
Brock and others interested? I was using a 56# Morrison Shawnee/ Dakota LB, and GT5575 cut to 29 1/2 BOP, 130 gr LW Single bevel "No Mercy" with 75 gr steel [ screw in] BH adapter, and 3 5" LW feathers. Total weight 517 gr.
Gene :wavey:
Congrats on the mulie Gene, and best of luck with the elk.

Gene stopped by a couple nights ago to show me his nice buck. I wasn't home at the time, I was out at one of my brothers cuttin up a cow elk they got on Sunday opening weekend of Oregon. Anyhow Gene talked with my wife for a while and talked here into taking some pics of his deer haulin machine before dropping it off. Fine one at that. Brock
