Got up this morning and went to work as normal. There was just something in the air as I walked around before daylight. Then I realized, I think my neck was swelling! This cool air and brisk fall smell has got my mind on the hunting! Can't' wait to chase them ole wiley whitetails. :jumper:

We have had morning temps in the 40's this week and it seems there's a buck out feeding in every bean field you look in! It's driving me crazy! :banghead:
i did the same thing. then this evening i saw a nice buck on the edge of a field near the house. it made me tremble.
Be careful, my neck swelled up in 1968 and I ended up getting married on Nov. 9th. Hap

Same thing up here in Illinois. Some of the maples have started turning red already.
It's ok if your neck swells, just dont get caught rubbing on your neighbors trees..

I did notice some of the trees starting to change. The weather is beautiful. Everyday we get a bit closer.
Good luck to all. I look forward to reading all the stories this season.

Squirrels are open here but deer won't be for another 21 days, 23 hours, 40 minutes and 11 seconds (give or take).
Hunting bushy-tails Saturday though, I have to admit I was more interested in deer and deer sign than I was in the task at hand.
The season has been open on private land here in the Lowcountry for 3 weeks now. Yesterday was the first morning it felt even remotely like you, that probably should be read I, might want to go hunting. It was a very cool 70 degrees yesterday morning with very low humidity, which is very rare for early September around here.
