Does anyone in here shoot one? I am looking at a 56" Mojo Stick.
I just got a new kajika styk. 56" 56.5@30". Bacote and Osage. It is a shooter. Had a 60" mojo that I let go in a moment of insanity. Great bows from a top notch guy!
I have a 56" Mojostick and LOVE it! Fast, quiet, it's the only recurve I've been able to shoot as good as my longbows. A Kajika is definitely next. Can't go wrong with one, in my book. If you were a wee bit closer, I'd have ya over for BBQ and let ya shoot mine :D
Very nice bows , you can't go wrong with them
I've got the 58 inch. Had the 60 and 62... Very nice bows very good Bowyer....
I have a 56" and love it. Smoothest, and most accurate for me short bow I have shot to date. Feels more like a 60" bow to draw and shoot to me. The 62" is really smoooooooth. I am scraping up the cash for a kajika right now.
the 56" is awesome, also the 56" kajika is incredible. JD and Josh will be up tues to hunt bear with me.....i cant wait to shoot JD's t/d mojo
I have to of the 56" Mojo Stiks. One is 53#,the newer one is 48#.They are both fast, quiet, hard hitting bows.
The 48# has bamboo cores which I think is now standard. It seems,at least to my eye,to be as hard hitting and penetrating as the 53#.I don't know if this is due to different cores or some other factor.
Both bows will out penetrate my 57# Bear TD.
I was able to get both bows to shoot the same set of arrows by building out one of the side plates slightly.
These two are my favorite bows and are handling very heavy arrows better than expected.A friend of mine came over recently to try several of my bows and he went home, called JD and bought one of his in stock bows.
Yes mine is the 62" recurve very nice bow.
I have a 56" Kajika which is one awesome shooting bow. Feels great in the hand, smooth, quiet, fast and for me it hits EXACTLY where its pointed and with authority.
I have two of the Voodoo's 48@28 Great bows very dependable bow maker any issues JD is on it. Had him in our camp for deer season last year got to pick his brain about a new bow so one of my voodoo's is going up for sale to buy another. These bows are very quiet and no hand shock, and even at 48lbs it shoot fast my arrows are 550 grains.
Thanks for the input guys. I really appreciate it. I am looking over the Thundersticks as well. I do like the fact that bamboo is standard on the Whispersticks.
I just made my deposit yesterday for my second 56" Mojo. As already stated, fast, quiet, smooth and stable. I had a 60" before and was never comfortable with it but this one and the new one have the locator grip with a slight thumbrest. Don't know for sure if it was the grip or the length.

I like Thundersticks as well, but I have one posted for sale right now to help fund the next Whisperstik. :D I don't know why yet, but I shoot the Mojo better than any other bow I have had.
I have one on the way should be here in a day or two. Mojo 60" 46.5 # @28". kotty osage bamboo limbs. riser bocote with accents of ebony and myrtle. will be my first one.
I picked up a used 58" Mojostik a while back. I was used to shooting a 62" takedown recurve from another custom bowyer. The mojo is noticeably lighter, much less bulk in the hand, suprisingly stable, and most importantly, I shoot it much better than my previous bow. I am sold on the shorter, lighter, one-piece recurve design. For me, it's the right bow.
m'gobo I have a 62 inch 55 pounder and love it you can't go wrong with the bow or the bowyer. If you want I could come down to TX and you can shoot it (you do have private property access for pigs and whitetails right?) my own little try before you buy program.Maybe JD will hire me for this kinda work :D Bill
