on my way scouting and checking my game cam this morning i came arcoss a 4 fletched hickory arrow that i knew belonged to Chris (Bowspirit). was odd as i do not remember ever taking that route stumping wirth him and i only took it today on a whim. beautifull morning for stumping and great sign as mast crop of acotns and beech are STRONG. as i near the mediciene tree ( fav stand of mine and Chris) i notice that its is RAINING beeches, i mean buckets full which is odd as it did not produce any last year. this tree is special as it is marred with bear prints up and down it and it sits on a natural rock ledge shelf so it is a natural highway for critters. the base of the tree has an opening, its not hollow but you can see straight through it and it justs makes it that much more special. my trail cam is about 25 yards down from this tree. well today showed a few bears, one of which i have named Destiny and i believe Bowspirit has a date with her as this will be HIS stand this year. ok bro i have the picture and the setting for ya, when season gsts here is your job to make the memories and tell the story!!!

Well, if that's a cub, Destiny has nothing to fear from my WW's. Nonetheless, she surely has added an exciting element to what I expect will be an extraordinary hunting season. May even be my last in NY, so I intend to make it memorable. Looks as though Destiny and I are going to be neighbors for a while, and hopefully, seeing a lot of each other.
And Ken, that hickory must be the one I lost in March. I took Drew up there for the first time, and I remember loosing that one to the snow. If it is, then the "head" should consist of a screw-in adaptor for wood arrows and either a screw-in Judo or Kondor point; can't remember which...
