Title: How do I remove the writing on my AD Trad arrows?
Post by: NorthernCaliforniaHunter on August 27, 2009, 06:45:00 PM
I love my new Arrow Dynamic Trad lite arrows, but wish they didn't have any writing on them. Does anyone know how to get the writing off without damaging the arrow or do I have to live with it?

I wet some oooo steel wool with acetone and rub lightly and the writing comes right off. Wipe the shafts dry with paper towel and you're good to go.

I use acetone...pour it on a rag and rub it on the gold letters....it will come off in about 10 seconds....the little circle is the last to go....

Same method as Terry, but I use Goof Off.

I was afraid to use too harsh of a solvent on mine, but someone here recommended just rubbing alcohol.  I tried it with a paper towel, and was suprised at how well it worked. A couple arrows out of my dozen were harder to get the writing off of , but overall it worked well.  Worth a try.  Steve.

yep, acetone takes off the cresting on gold tips.
just remember what spine they are and don't mix them up with other spines   ;)
