Not actually red-cedar arrows but they are "red" cedar arrows. Does that make sense? Anyway I decided to make some plain & simple cedar arrows with trade points this year to hunt with. Thought I would share some pictures and give a link to a slide-show of these arrows if anyone wants to look at them.
Not to ruffle any feathers or anything, but these were plain & simple to make. I have been making nothing but cane arrows to shoot for the past 5-6 years, believe me if you have put time in making cane arrows you know what I mean about plain & simple when you make some cedars.

very cool!!!
Nice
How many grains? How'd you do the feathers with the discolored edge? These are plenty nice arrows!
Spectacular! Totally awesome arrows, man! Great job on the points too, I might add.
VERY,VERY,VERY nice!!!!!
Most excellent!
All I can say is WOW!!!!
Straitera,,, these are a bit lite they are just under 600 grains, they vary a little because of the trade points and sinew wrap. I have gotten really technical about the matched weights in the past and have made matched sets +/- 5grains before.
As for the barring on the feathers, I did that with a Q-tip and leather dye. Very easy to do and it breaks up solid white "flag" look in your quiver.
Thanks to you all.
Those are niether "plain" nor "simple". They are works of art!
Beautiful, functional, tasteful.
Nice lookin arras Rich, you are ready!!!
You did a realy nice job on them. What kinda points are they?I never saw any like that.
That looks sharp. I like the dye job on the feathers.

Ditto....nice craftsmanship!
SWEET!!!! Great craftsmanship.
Bushytail,,,they are homemade "trade-points" that I made from an old saw blade.
Hey Dano,,how you doing? You must have survived the trip to Cloverdale and Compton's alright! All I need now is for the leaves to start turning and the bucks to start rubbing ;) .
Yep, I did, had a good time at it. Have a good season my friend.
Very nice.
