Do any of you Black Widow shooters use a gasket between your limbs and riser? Is it neccessary for noise reduction, or ok to just put a coating of wax for moisture purposes between the two?
Haven't done either--it's fine. Wax couldn't hurt, I guess.
I cut a piece of synthetic craft felt for each riser section. May or may not help, but I feel like it does. Its not real thick, but serves its purpose and you can barely see it.
I havent had to do anything to my widow but I too used some THIN synthetic materail on another recure I have
I don't use anything between mine. Except for the rubber O rings that come on the allignment pins. See no reason to.

Just the rubber o-rings and a little string wax on the pad. The string wax keeps the limbs from making the little noise when you first draw them.
I have a big role of velcro for making shelf pads, would velcro be ok to put between them or would it be to thick?
My self i would not put any thing but just the o-rings and some string wax
Appreciate all the responses. Gonna go with no gasket and a light coating of Johnson's Paste Wax. I normally put a light coating of wax all over my bows due to the really wet season we have in my part of Oregon. Good luck to all on your upcoming hunting seasons.
The o-rings are for keeping moisture out of the locater pin holes.
