Took the two oldest grandsons Nick 9 and Ben 7 on their first 3-D shoot last Thursday evening. I've posted here their two weekend shooting lessons I gave them earlier this year and thought they were ready for it. Also coaxed Mom into bringing them and letting them run loose with me in the woods with bows and arrows. Humidity and heat were off the charts. I let them move up on the animals as close as they wanted but they tended to short draw and the arrows were bouncing off of the animals. I told them to draw fully and then Ben 7 would overshoot the animals.
They had a ball, they lost 4 arrows and broke one and they told me I'd have to just make some more arrows. No problem.
