I have been using barred orange/yellow, thats going to change soon, every leaf in the fall is orange and yellow! Probably be going in a blue/white combo of sorts!

I got bored with traditional combinations. In this set every arrow has three different feather colors and every arrow is different from the rest in the set.

I'm a fan of two pinks and one gray. They stand out like beacons in the woods.

Flo. yellow cap dip white cresting white cock feather and yellow hen feathers or all white feathers.
Flo yellow cap dip and all white seems best for me.

Flo yellow has worked the best for me as far as visability goes.I normally use all white, all Flo yellow,or a combo of them.Sometimes I mix them with natural turkey feathers as well.

This year I have gone to 3 white 5" shield feathers, black index nock, black and white crest, on a dark walnut stained wood shaft. No cap dip. They look very snazzy, but understated,  and kind of old-fashioned.
They go well with my all-black Bear mag-handled takedown. That is, except for the green spring-arm Bear quiver which I don't want to paint.
I can easily see them fly in any conditions -- a white ball of feathers going toward the target. I use the nock under my thumb to index so I don't have to look at the arrow to get it on the string. That way I can keep all three feathers white.
I was just making up a batch this morning. This batch should turn out to be about 510 gr average with a 6 or 7 grain spread in the dozen. Out of my 50 lb bow they will be just right at a hair over 10 gr per pound. Snuffers up front.
Keep 'em sharp, guys! The season will be here before you know it.
Joe

Most of my hunters are fletched with all yellow and a yellow nock as I can see the yellow very well yet it has never spooked anything.  I also fletch up a few with all chartreuse and a flo green nock.  I carry one of these in my quiver and it is the arrow that goes on the string when I get in the stand.  The char really holds it brightness in low light for me.  If you want to brighten things up, just paint some white on the nock taper and use a flo green nock.  Orange, red and blue fletch all go dark in low light.

Bear and Moose, something bright tend to lean towards a fluorescent blue or pink, they really stand out against black fur. Ducks Barred green as plain as possible. And my small game arrows get whatever I happen to have when they need refletching.

Always 3 5" white feathers on a white wrap with some form of splice in cock feather. I burn all my feathers with this modified shield cut just because i think they look cool.  :)

I prefer a bright yellow dip, 3 yellow feathers, and yellow nock.

My partner uses 3 hot pink feathers, and I have to admit that they are just as bright and easy to see. (BTW, he's such a great shot that I dare not tease him.)

I also like flouro yellow for some of my arrows...

Either way, I use a flouro yellow nock cause it seems to glow in low light.

My next set will be 3 wild turkey with flo. chartruse spliced into the tail ends. The profile will be banana with the tail end clipped off. They'll be on tonkin shafts with self knocks and silk thread wraps. (purple thread because it'll match my bow)

I'll say this about plastic nock colors though. The flo. pink nocks are virtually unlosable. My buddy used to carry what he called the unlosable arrow. It was a green game getter with a flo pink nock. I don't care how many times he "lost" it while 3D shooting, we always found it. I offered to lose it for him once and he said I couldn't. I shot it into the timber once down at deer camp. It hit a dead limb some 70 yards away and broke the limb off. I only walked 10 yards into the tree line before I saw it! I then shot it into our "broken arrow campsite" tree. It's prolly there still today.

I always use 3 orange shield cut or banana LW feathers and an orange nock on my arrows.  White to me is an alarm color in the woods.  Most everything from a woodpecker to a deer flashes white when it's alarmed.  Just an observation.  I had a dozen vapors that I made that all ready had white wraps on them.  I flectched them with orange feathers.  I got nailed by two does last season trying to take a shot and I swear they were focusing on my quiver of arrows..After that I cap dipped them orange with a paint pen (Dykem) that you mark steel plate with.  BTW it works great for capping arrows.  Lasts forever too and comes in all kinds of colors.

I have been using 3 white feathers for years down here in the south and nothing stands out better when the arrow passes through a deer. It never snows down here so that white on brown is perfect.

For my hunting arrows i've always liked a white cap, all white feathers and white nocks. In early morning or late evening they really show up well. For the arrows i practice with i like to experiment with different combinations, going to try splicing this winter for the first time too.

Three 5 1/2" floresent Lime, Bannana cut.
A HUGE part of the enjoyment of shooting is watching the arrow cut thru the air, on its way to the mark. Without this visual feedback,(which by the way, helps train you to shoot), the beauty of trad. archery is greatly diminished.  This is another reason that I find, 300ft/sec. string rifles so unsatisfactory.- You can't root for an arrow you can't see!  Large feathers also cure flight prob. - particularily helpful w/broadheads.
