I finally caught up to the buggers today, we found a nice herd . I counted about 30 cows/calves 6 rag horn bulls, one spike and a herd bull that had 7 points on each side. I could barely keep it together, we moved in on them and I had a rag horn 5 point at 60 yrds coming to a cow call. I guess we had company on the mountain and some hunter down below spooked the herd and all hell broke loose. No shots today, but we saw Elk, and that's what counts. The herd bull bugled a few times in the morning and I saw some Rag horns sparring so, the good times must be close.
