I went with Jims new Route 66 (low wrist) version. I asked Jim to build the riser of charcoal dymondwood for mass weight, and to go with stained quilted maple to blend in with my michigan hardwoods while hunting... All I can say is this Firefly shoots as good as it looks...Jim makes one heck of a bow!

Very nice! Definitely on my short list.. Enjoy!
Very nice!...should look great when all the leaves are down the the days are grey!
Josh
Sharp! what color did he stain the limbs? Are they grey? Dk brown? What length bow and draw weight?
Again, very nice!
Steve
Welcome to the family, very nice bow. They shure shoot good dont they.
Terry
the limbs are stained a charcoal gray...the bow is a 60" 47@28"...It will blend in great with the winter north woods for sure..Awesome low grip...with some palm swell and a slight thumb rest..very very comfortable, smooth, and snappy quick... Drew and I stopped by Jims shop today to pick it up... I'm very happy to be part of the firefly family.
Nice bow Steve,, Very nice, ,JB
Steve, that's a beauty for sure.

:clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Steve,
That's a nice bow for sure. Jim is a very talented bowyer, a super nice guy and good friend. Thanks for stopping by to visit and show it to me while you & Drew were in the area this afternoon. It was great to see you guys again. I'll see you in October.
Ron
thanks Ron...good to see you too! Can't wait for october :campfire: I'll cook you a burger ;)
Very nice bow. I have been part of the Firefly family for a couple of weeks and love it. Very stable, quiet, accurate, and extremely fine craftsmanship. When I get a chance, I'll take some photos to post.
Ron
Man I like those limbs. Very sharp.
Really nice looking bow! Love the charcoal dymondwood and it looks fantastic next to the stained maple. You done good!
Wow that is a beauty!! I love those stained limbs! Jim makes a great bow, that's for sure. I need to get another one...

Great looking bow! I may have to try a FIREFLY one of these days. Good luck putting meat on the table with it this fall.
Now that's my kind of bow! What a looker! :archer:
Very nice. I would like to shoot one of the low wrist grips as I favor them more. I shot a Firefly at Braveheart Archery and would not hesitate to recomend them to anyone. Flint
Flint.... this bow flat out shoots...If you favor a low wrist and want a take down i'd recommend big time...the pic is a bit decieving because the riser looks larger than it is... Jims low wrist is perfect... i couldnt be happier with the craftsmanship and how this bow performs.
Nice FireFly,
That gray stain on the limbs looks cool.
Chad
She's a looker in person and flat out shoots...I'm not a fan of the low wrist but was slapping arrows with her and even busted a nock!
Jim did an awesome job as usual!!
Hope Steve does his part this fall, "Black Beauty" would look good laying over a fat old whitetail.
Had a good time hanging with ya Bro, and always spending time with Jim and of course we had to keep Ron on his toes,LOL!
Hey GAAAAAttttOOOOOrrr, it's your turn Mr. Mitch, LMAO!
Drew...had a great time too! If "Black Beauty" doesnt connect it wont be her fault...lol....I have a feeling Jim should get a call from MN soon..lol....
Well, finally had a chance to see the pics.

LOL, so we got "disoriented" for a bit...besides some guy kept calling on Steve's cell. Get your butt up here for BuckJam, you could meet Jim and you "might" get to shoot my Firefly(s).
Steve give ole bentpole first crack iffen you want to sell her!! :biglaugh:
bentpole...my 3 top shooters so far ...1 this firefly, my 64" treadway original, and the 64" hornes traditionalist i picked up for daughters boyfriend.....of course i had to shoot it some.... :biglaugh:
She turned out awesome Steve!! Jim did a stand up job as always.
Are you guys sure we want that Mitch guy here in October?? :goldtooth:
Come on up Mitch it would be a great time!!
thanks guys!...love the way this shoots
up for the weekdayers
Wow, I sure want to try one of the fine bows out in the near future.
Dandy of a bow, Jacobsladder. I absolutely love my Firefly and hope to break it in next week in Wyoming. My goodness...Jim's bows flat shoot!
Claudia
thanks Claudia.... i know what you mean on the shooting qualities...unbelievable....
Sweet !! Congrats! That must be the one Jim was tellin me about! Looks real good!
She sure is pretty Steve! But you put it above your Treadway? How's it compare to your old black swamp?
Dakota tim... The firefly is easier for me to shoot than the blackswamp. It has all the key ingredients of a great bow...quick , quiet, smooth, well balanced, and great craftsmanship.... Love the dymondwood riser.
my firefly is soooooooooooo quiet.........and fast.
Very nice looking bow Steve!!! :notworthy:
Bill
WHAT!!! HORNES TRADITIONALIST!!!??? :scared:  :scared: What are the specs on it? :readit:
ttt..for black beauty!
Steve Sorry that I havent checked here in a few days. Man that Fly is pretty! Now you know what every one else has found out. Killer shooting bows made by a great guy. I love my 3 for sure. Terry
fantastic bow!
Steve
How ya doing there. I have been shooting my fly everyday and like it more and more. I have been fine tunning with broadheads and boy does this bow perform. It spits a 625gr carbon like nobodys business. I'm shooting a tournament with it saturday with it, I dont plan on doing good but I will sure enjoy spending time shootig though. I was in you neck of the woods two weeks ago at whitetail acres.
Take it easy bud
Terry
good to hear from ya terry...im doing good ...getting anxious for deer season.
Steve, do you want to sell it yet? :goldtooth:
this one is staying put!!
Jim has created the masterpiece for me... has all of the qualities i need.... now i just need to do my part
