Please tell me that the reason why Alaska Bowhunting Supply Co. can't send a Kangaroo glove to westfornia, doesn't have anything to do with animal rights crap?
I was looking on Alaska bowhinting site and it is stated that this glove,,, "Cannot be shipped to California."
I'm not up on all the laws pertaining to whatever, so I'd like some info on this. Thanx yall.........Ray...........
This is an old, longstanding statute in California and it kept a ton of baseball players from enjoying Kangaroo skin cleats all these years as well. Some whacko in our government got the ban passed years ago because Australia was overrun with them and had an industry that killed them for a living. Go figure.
:saywhat: Have them send two to my address and I will send one to ya I promise.. :D ...I ain't affraid of thier stupid laws..(They will pass laws to Kill unborn babies but save the animals and trees). Keefer's
Ray,
If you look at Cabela's boots all of the Kangaroo ones say the same thing. I've always just chalked it up to the fact that the nice folks in California send all their village idiots to Sacramento so they can be together.

I hate it when I laugh so hard that I cry on the keyboard!!! :biglaugh:
The bedwetters are firmly in charge in Kalifornistan.
And see where it's gotten them? People would be running out of there as fast as their birkenstocked feet could carry them except the rest of the country is only 7, maybe 10 years behind them and headed that way so they figure they might as well stay and enjoy the roller coaster going downhill I'm guessing!
"This is the end, my friend."
Or is it, " It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine" ? :readit: :saywhat:
Ray, I didn't take you for an REM kind of guy. Cool tune by the way.
Hey, Michael. I'm kind of a renaissance man..Miles, Ella, The Doors...just about anything that is good music.
And then there's rap...It's a whole nutha experience...if you know what um sayin'. TI, the Snoop, I be kickin' it ol' skool most o' the time though.
I'm going to the camp next weekend. Let me know if you're down..we'll whip up some supper together if you want.
Welcome to my world :(
I thought that was fixed last year.
My favorite all time boots, Georgia Boots upland model were Roo skin. I still have them but the local cobblers tell me that it will cost more to resole than I paid originally.
I will just buy new ones in GA next time there. December can't come soon enough.
I get my buds to ship me my kangaroo products. I thought the Governator signed a bill to lift the ban.
It looks like these sites that will not ship to California are behind the times. The following is from Senator Dave Cogdill\\'s Senate E-Newsletter (http://cssrc.us/web/14/publications.aspx?id=4004&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1) dated January '08:
"Sale of Kangaroo Products
It is now legal to sell products made from the leather of kangaroos that are not listed as endangered by the Federal Government. The end of the prohibition against the sale of these products will benefit soccer players who can now purchase specialty soccer shoes made of kangaroo leather from stores in California, rather than having to purchase them in other states where their sale has long been legal. Additionally, at least one local manufacturer should benefit from the legislation as it begins production of a new boot made from kangaroo leather that will be used by law enforcement officers. Under the law, it is still illegal to sell products made from kangaroos that are considered endangered under the Endangered Species Act."
Guy
If you all could feel the stunning weather we had here in Santa Rosa yesterday... Unbelievable. Yep, the loons are at the helm, but there's no place on earth like California. As E.T. said, "hoooooommmme".
You also cannot buy motorcycle racing leathers made from roo there. Even though they're much more safe.
Shane, I bought a Moto GP riding suit that was Roo from a shop here in San Diego. I was surprised when I saw it, but the staff made it seem like it was no big deal and that they've been selling them "forever". I think some people/shops are behind the times. Time to let them know.
