Here's my set up. 50# @28 . 53#@ 29. which is what I shoot. Arrows spines 65-70 lam birch. Tried arrow length of 29.5- 31.25. Arrows still seem a bit stiff bow hush n puppies endless loop string. 130 grain bh. can't afford new arrows but thinking of using heavier head. Myquestion is how heavy would I need to go ? Liking grizzly 190's. Want single bevel w/ tanto. Let the education begin. I learn so much from yall ! It's better than school!!!!!!
Correction. Arrow length 29.5-30.25
The 190's may be perfect with the additional 60 grains. If it is still a little stiff you may want to slide your silencers away from center if you have silencers. That will weaken the arrow flight as well.
are you shooting wood, carbon, or aluminum arrows?
lam birch... missed that. You could also try Woody Weights to help weaken the spine.
Experienced the same problem in weight range.
I played with Woody Weights and found the 100 gr. add on with the 190 does wonders. Wow. Try the sample pack.
Bowferd
Get a 3 rivers field point test kit. I think there like 5$. That way you'll know exactly what you need.
Thanks guys ! Prob gonna try the test kit n c what happens. I love messing with this stuff !
What kind of bow and string material? Center cut? Side plate material? Brace height? Type of fletching? Have you shot broadheads and field points together or bare shafted to verify they are stiff? You should be really close, especially at 30 or 31" of arrow length.
