I'm looking to buy a new take down recurve and will consider a longbow it it feels right. I'm not overley concerned with brand, but I'm leaning toward a Chek-mate Hunter II. I currently shoot a Chek-Mate Falcon and really like it.
One of the reasons that I like the Hunter II is the take down has what I refer to as "flush" mounted limbs. (Is there a term that describes that other than flush mount?) It is very astetically pleasing to me as the take down looks more like a one piece rather than just a riser with two limbs bolted on it. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with other take down systems. I just really like the lines of a one piece but want the convienence of a take down for traveling, the ability to change limbs, etc.
So who else makes a "flush" mounted takedown? Any pictures of you have them?
Thanks,
Jerry
Border Bows. The border Black Douglas is one of the best and very pleasing to the eye
Steve Gorr's line of Cascade bows are flush mounted, (but you're already familiar with Chek-Mate)

Roseoak has a new flush mount system that is beautiful as well.
I just got a 62", 50@28, rh Hunter II for the shop. Purpleheart and greybark riser, greybark limbs. First extra bow I've gotten in a long time.
