Just curious, who on tradgang knaps?
Curtis, ya need to get a hold of Tim Ott. He does it the hard way, all bone and stone, no copper or modern versions and he's GOOD.
But ya know, now that I think about it, I can't recall when last I saw him post here. I bet he goes to paleoplanet too.
I attempt it when I have the time...very interesting skill. Im no way, no how good enough to call myself a knapper yet, but I do try at times... :D
Every afternoon around 2:30...Oh wrong nap...really I would like to try it sometime, it looks like it could be addictive.....
I do some pressure flaking.

I'm a Knapper. I learned a little from Linc then last year I attended a 3 day class taught by Craig Ratzat. Although I haven't been knapping to much in the last few months. I can't wait to get back at it.
Hi All,
I'd love to learn....been considering this years Flint Ridge Knap-in early in September....I understand there's lots of folks, but no organized classes to teach a beginner "how-to".
HHHhhhhhhmmmmmmmm
Woody is Amazing !
Something else I'd love to learn to do.
Amazing work guys.
Internet is full of info... youtube vids etc... bestway to learn is to sit and watch some one better than you then start doing it for your self. Ask questions. Never seen a knapper that would not lend their time.
I started knapping this spring, but somehow the summer flew by and I haven't kept it up much....maybe September will be better. oh yeah....moose season in September. oh well.
Just finished one of my better points.

Mr. Razor,
Very nice work!!!
SALUTE!
Thank you. I'm thinking about putting it on a rivercane shaft for this deer season.
The notches kind of stalled out but I didn't want to break it and it is serviceable as is.
Hmmmm looking at the pic again I have a little flake that was deeper than the rest just above the right notch in the lower pic.
I do. Bill

Yes, he is a Rembrant when it comes to stone! I feel like that cave man on the commercials when I see his work. He's probably one of the best knappers there is.
