Well this goes back some time. Molson and I have always been on JD to build a plain Jane hunting bow.   Well I got my wish about a week ago.  This bow is Osage and cocobolo. 66in long and 60 @28.  I told JD I needed a good bow for muley deer in 2010.  The cast on this bow is impressive. The bow is his new line called the "AROGOS"   (http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w266/MGERARDI_2007/100_2301.jpg)  (http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w266/MGERARDI_2007/100_2307.jpg)  (http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w266/MGERARDI_2007/100_2311.jpg)  (http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w266/MGERARDI_2007/100_2304.jpg)  (http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w266/MGERARDI_2007/100_2305.jpg)Buffalo horn tips  (http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w266/MGERARDI_2007/100_2306.jpg)

That's a looker!  I've always been partial to simple, yet elegant longbows.  Some are just too busy looking for my tastes.

Sure is a sweet shooter. 'Bout time he built something with Osage!

Beautiful osage lams!!! And thanks for showing the strung profile.

Beautiful! I love longbows like that!

				Very nice!

				Nice bud

				Very very nice!

Great look'n bow ... I've had several of his bows and all shot very well. Got a name for that bow ?

Got a name for that bow ?
Yup  "AROGOS"

She's a beauty for sure....

I bet she shoots as good as she looks.
I had a Berry bow a few years back; it was a sweet shooter also, had to give it up for a ligher weight bow.

Sweet looking bow. Some nice looking Osage.

Excellent combination of woods A k9!
I like a good contrast between the riser and the lams, and osage with cocobolo is *always* nice!
Shoot straight, Shinken

Elkken and Northener, I will put my own name to it either during or after this season.  Hopefully it will be a good one.
Curt too bad your a lefty...This is a sweet shooter.
Thanks evryone for the nice comments.  JD really put his time into this bow.

My son and I meet JD back in July of this year. He showed us a couple of bows that he made. They sure are sweet. He let us shoot one of them he said was a "Proto" for a new one he was coming out with. I really liked it so I bought it. It looks like the one in your pictires.

M1, It is the same style bow. JD told me he sold that bow.  But I thought he sold it out of his shop.

				Wow! Outstanding!

				How much?

Mike, That's sweet lookin bow right there!! Gotta love that osage...

James just had a heart attack a few weeks ago... he is doing alright now I assume.  I talked to him on the phone a couple weeks after regarding shipping a bow to Austria.  Great looking bow Mike!  I love the Plane Jane looking bows!  509-299-3029 to give praise, support, and maybe order yourself a great hunting bow!  James cannot run around and go elk hunting, but he can crank out bows right now probably!   :campfire:

Talked to James a couple days ago and he said he's doing pretty good, just taking it slow and not pushing it. He said he won't be able to shoot a bow for quite a while now until he heals up, but he can still build them.  That Argos is a great shooter with a classic look.

I must be missing something because, as an avid lover of Osage, I see nothing plain jane about that bow. She is sweet looking bow and has a very nice D shape to it! Congrats and hope she brings you some good hunting memories.      :clapper:

				Real nice looking bow, Mike.
