I would try the 400's,340's would be too stiff even with 250 up front.

Depends on how long you leave the arrows and how close to centershot you are. My 53 @ 28 DAS is tuned with 29 1/2" ACC 360's (340 spine) with 175 gr points. Centershot tuned to right side of center of point.

What Steve says.I shoot 400s with 125gn points from my 43lb gamemaster but I have long arrows.

I shoot a 58# curve, that I draw just over 28"'s...TS-1 10 strand string...Shoot ICS 400's that are cut at 29" and have about 250grs up front and they shoot very well.....

Everyone's different, but I really believe the 340's will be way too stiff for you set-up and draw......unless you leave them really long and hang over 300grs on the end.

I shoot a 57# longbow. I am shooting a 400 axis cut to 29.5 with 225 grains up front.

I do however shoot 340s with the same wait up front in my pronghorn ferret but I had to leave them really really long. I did it because I liked the weight that I got.

I would go with the 400s in your case.

I'm with Guru.  400's unless you want a lot of arrow hanging over the front.

Don't want to confuse or mislead you so dug out Beman arrow chart.

What arrow to use at your poundage depends upon your arrow length. You are at the point where you could go either way depending upon this consideration. If your arrow length is between 28.5 and 29.5 then you should try the 400's. If however, your arrow length is between 29.5 and 30.5 you should try 340's. Individual shooting style plays into this as well. Tip weight is really a moot point in my humble opinion.
I would be happy to send you one of each, cut at what ever length you decide upon. PM length and address if interested. Good hunting, Mike

Just wondering.....how can point weight be a "moot point" when it have everything to do with spine and how an arrow will flex because of it?

I,m betting that the "moot point" is how much a decent shooter can get away with useing carbon arrows

I,ve shot 125 and 250 up front from the same bow useing the same arrows and there isn't much differance at 20yrds...I've done it side by side

that said it DOES matter if ya want a good forgiving set up and the 340's would be stiff way stiff IMO technecally the 400 spine should be stiff too but I've had good luck with it myself and that should get ya in the ball park

funny how ya can get carbons to fly well fairly easy but woods (for me anyway) seem to be more touchy and less forgiving...again "for me"

I shoot a 66# hatfield and use 400 beman mfx classic shafts with 125 grain tips and 50 grain inserts, they fly exceptional.  340's are a little too stiff for me even at that poundage.
