I was shooting mine @ 7"-7.250"
I could shoot anywhere from 7" to 7.5" on the one I had. Didn't seem to be much difference in noise within that range. I usually kept it right about 7.25".
sweet Thanks
Like mine at a hair over 6 3/4"
John put me at 7 - 3/4", but then again, I draw 32", and shoot 3 under.... The ranges stated are what he recommends.
My 64" Griffin 47# is set at 6 7/8" and with a 8 strand string from John McCullough and 4 Black Widow spider silencers it is the quietest bow I have ever shot. It was made in 1999. I shot a big Texas buck last year with the 4 blade (570 grains) passing thru on the ground and the other deer did not run off.Quiet! Ken
Enjoy your Griffin :)
