I'll be in northern Arkansas for the next week. Just wondering if there's anywhere down there a Trad guy might find interesting and should try to see. Thanks, Garlin.
What city?
What part of northern Arkansas are you in; NE, NC, or NW? I live in NE Arkansas.
Going to Eureka Springs.

Not a whole lot in the North West corner. There is a small little trad shop in Fayetteville ran by a Mr. Palmer, nice little place to visit but is a jaunt from Eureka Springs.
Now if you have a few hours to kill one day Nixa and the Black Widow boys are just over the border in Mo. Im guessing about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive.
I took a tour of there shop last September when i was out visiting my kids in Siloam Springs. If you have time it is well worth it.
If you mean just trad bow shops and whatnot, not a lot. If you mean pretty country that someone who is into traditional archery would find appealing, you couldn't see it all in ten lifetimes. I'm trying.
The Great Passion play is in Eureka Springs. If you are a religious person it is a great way to spend a night. Nixa is about 2 hour drive best I can remember. Lots of pretty country up there.
If you like beautiful scenery check out Boxley valley just east of Eureka Springs and south of Harrison. Home to the core of the Arkansas Elk restoration program. The last couple of times I went I saw probably close to 50 elk and some real monsters. But I would recommend going the last few hours before dark. The later the better for elk but there is a lot to see anyway. If you are into hiking I know some really great day hikes and some that are just a couple of hours. If so pm me and I can give you some info.

I got married there about twelve yrs ago.Great weekend. But every thing has been a blank since.... :help:
Going to try and check out the elk tonight. Wanted to bring back an arkansas wet stone, one I had hoped I could pick out. 2 x 8" or something. Can't seem to find them around this part. Just the tri stone. I might look some more before we leave. Drove through a place called Holiday Island Mon. night in the rain. The deer are as thick as the squirrels back home.
Double up on the trip to Nixa Missouri for the Black Widow shop and hit the original Bass Pro Shop just to say ya been there.
they used to have the archery hall of fame (I think) and Fred Bear exibit at that bass pro in Springfield Mo. They prolly still do but I have not been there for 4 years. It is pretty neat it just depends on how much you are in to it if it is worth it to go to Springfield. Once you are there check out Black Widow in Nixa.
You shouldn't have a problem finding a wet stone in ureka springs there a lot of tourist shop etc. and the wet stones are usually a hot item.If you make it to n.e. arkansas look me up.
