I like 2117 and 125 grain points but they dont fly that well. What arrow tip combination would be good and i have a 27.5" draw 60# bear grizzly.
How long are the arrows? Have you shot any of them bare to see how they hit the target. They might be alitle too stiff.
there 29" and when i shoot a bare shaft they hit a little bit low and they go in at an angle with the nock pointing up
You just need to lower your nocking point a little bit. I shoot 2117 with a 125 grain head 30.5" in length out of a 60# bow, but I draw 29".
I shoot 60#'s and have a 27.5" draw and my arrows are 29". The best arrow I have found is the Beman or Axis in size 340. I use 200-225 grains on the front. If I use a 100 grain insert I use a 100 or 125 grain point. If I use the regular inserts I use a 200 or 225 grain point. I recently switched from 3 fletch to four flecth and find I get quicker recovery and in my mind a more stable arrow.
thanks
I shoot 2117's from my 55# longbow and both my recurves, 56# and 58#. My arrows are swagged and are 28.5" to the end of the swag taper. I shoot 125, 145 and 160 grain broadheads and have never gotten bad flight. I draw a true 27"...
AD trad lite carbons also fly super but I have to increase my FOC to 230 grains with the arrows cut 28.5".
been shooting 60#s recurve since the 90's I draw 28" and usually use 2215's with 125gr tip fly great..others that fly almost identicle have been 2216's and 2315's..hope this helps
Thanks
