They are fantastic bows. I have owned several and was loyal to them for several years. Still am really, but don't presently own one. They take a little getting used to, but once you learn to shoot one you are probably gonna be pretty deadly.
Also, there is not a smoother drawing bow on the market that I know of.
i have a 58" 53# and its my fav shoots great! the folks at fox were the best to work with.
I just got a 62" breed a month ago and have to say in my 38 years of traditional shooting it is one of the best recurves I have shot and the finish is really nice.
Hello Rainman. I have a 62" Fox breed. My bow is 62Lbs@31" and is very smooth drawing all the way back to my 31 1/2" draw. It is very stable in the hand and have to be one of the best 50's style recurve out there. Also Ron and Debbie King are some of the nicest folks you will deal with. I'll post a couple pics of mine. A very fine bow indeed. (http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn230/SNUFFER8/14_18.jpg) (http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn230/SNUFFER8/395715-R1-022-9A_009.jpg)
hey rainman I have had a breed for 9 years 58inch 50# it is my go to bow.Very smooth very tough and has a hard punch. And ron and debbie king are the best
Ask Tony How many deer he got with that Fox last year...If my mind remembers I think he got 16 but only 6 or so with the breed...The man is a missle launcher with the stick and string and is one sharp dressed man with his military hat ...
Thanks for the info. I use to have and Appalachian archery Elk mountain recurve and the breed looks be very similar. I want another bow of that style.
Rainman, I have a 62" breed. I'm just across the river in Collinsville. Shoot me a p.m. if you'd like to shoot mine sometime.
I shoot nothing but the breeds, have 8 of them. I have been shooting them for about 9 years now. Nothing better that I have found for me and my style of shooting. Very smooth and shoot right where I am looking. Attention to detail is very good on these bows, and Ron is great to deal with.
my 50 @ 27 breed has killed a moose , a caribou and a turkey. It is his take down model i just took delivery of his royal crown longbow today as well!
This is the first Breed I owned. It seems that those that own or have owned a Fox Breed really were happy with them. At the time I was in the market for a 50's style recurve, to my knowledge Ron was the only bowyer making one over 60" (http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn230/SNUFFER8/010_15A.jpg) (http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn230/SNUFFER8/011_14AFoxBreed8Pointer.jpg)
Tony, sweet pics. Thanks for sharing those. I like the looks of that bow!
Thanks Wannabe1. Just a few pics of a good time in the great outdoors. Shoot Straight and Good Hunting.
