Here it is!!!
Dates:
November 5th-8th. I will be getting there late morning/noonish on the 5th to set up and then hunt that afternoon.
Location:
Go to this site for the map of the AEP area. Look for Campground K off of SR83 & T13. It is surrounded by public hunting with no reservation required. You just have to sign in when you get there.
http://www.aep.com/environmental/recreation/recland/pdf/ReCLandMap.pdf
Permit:
You will need to download and print your free permit to be legal. Go to this site for the permit:
http://www.aep.com/environmental/recreation/recland/permit.aspx
Food:
Bring your own or even some to share, let's all bring plenty so that there is more than enough to go round.
Firewood:
Nothing from out of state, but in state should be fine. They have wood to buy at the store north of camp.
Shirt:
This is the logo for the shirt, it will be full size on the back. The front will be plain. The shirts will be light brown/khaki color. I have ordered 15 XL and 5 L at a cost of $10 each.

Can't wait to see everyone there! :campfire:
-Charlie
-
I'll be there before the 5th and save me an xl shirt. see u there. Jim
-
Sounds good Jim!
-
I won't know for sure until closer, but I would love to make my way over for this hunt. It just depends if I can get both days off work, but I'll try to make it on the 6th no matter what.
-
You Know I won't miss it! :goldtooth:
-
Good deal Mike!
Bob, hope to see you there.
Anyone who wants a shirt.....
I have 13 XL shirts and 5 large shirts still available. You need to let me know if you want one and what size. Contact me either on this thread, e-mail or PM. I will have the shirts Aug 14th and will bring them to the hunt unless I see some of you earlier.
-Charlie
-
Charlie, put me down for an XL please.
-
Whats the average night/day temps there at that time of year? Whats your camping set-ups?
-
Greg,
The average daytime high is 45 degrees and night is mid 30's. We did have a few really warm daytime temps(65 degrees) last year though. I checked averages on a weather/almanac site and confirmed this as correct.
We all set up tents. The camping area is mowed, there are trash cans and an outhouse.
-Charlie

*****There is a work weekend coming up from Friday, Aug 14th to Sunday the 16th for anyone that wants to help set up brush blinds.*****
Friday night we will be fishing, BS-ing and sitting around the fire. We will start working on the blinds Saturday morning. When we get done it will be time for more relaxing!
If you ae coming, we will use the same campground as always.
-Charlie
-
Charlie I need a medium or I feel like I'm swimming in a shirt. I'll see yopu on the 14th.
-
Matt,
I didn't order mediums. I thought XL and large would be ok, do you still want one? How did you shoot/score Sunday?
-Charlie
-
Man sounds like a good time! would love to be in on this. Never hunted south of the border before!
-
I personally have had a good time the last couple years.
-
I'll be at a camp in Tar Hollow that week or I'd stop in and kill somethin. I know you fellers will have a good time.
-
Charlie,
I can't justify buying a large cause i would never wear it. Maybe next year there could be a few mediums for us skinny fat kids. Ill just have to make my own and it'll be cooler than yours. LOL!
IS IT NOVEMBER YET????
-
I will be there... size Large
-
Chuc,
Gotcha down for a large.

I will be in Warsaw from Nov. 3 to 10, how far are you guys from there?

Hey fellas,
Just got back in from Florida. I'll be at the campsite this Friday, the 14th, sometime in the afternooon.
Oh, and thanks to everyone that is coming out to help! See you there. Don't worry about not making it this weekend Jim.
Also, the shirts are in and I will have them with me this weekend. $10 will cover my cost on em. I am picking them up tomorrow morning.
-Charlie
-
It is about 45 min from Warsaw I think. Looks a good distance on the map. We will be near Cumberland.
-Charlie
-
Miranda and I will be down around 10 I hope.
-
See ya'all soon
-
I will have to get some topo's of the area so you guys can mark the blind locations on it for me! :readit:
-
$50 for the locations! Im a hunting mercanary.
-
Hey everybody watch out for buckeye hunter he only brings hotdogs and chips to eat and doesn't expect to eat em. LOL Your gonna be my camp ho when the hunt rolls around. It was great seeing you Charlie, Don, Miranda, Morgan, and Levi. Thanks for the hard work. It should make the hunt alot more fun.
-
Dude I thought you said you wouldnt say anything about that. Chucks gonna have your neck. Had a great time, damn it was hot. :scared:
-
Hmmmm.....
Irish, you remember that paint ball arrow game we talked about? It just changed to Ace Hex heads! :saywhat:
Just messin' with you Irish, but between you and Drummer, I may never bring food again!
It was seriously hot and I appreciate you guys showing up to help out. Good to meet ya' Levi, Morgan and Miranda. I don't think the frogs, groundhogs or other random furry creatures want us to come back though!
Can't wait for October and November! Especially if we had this much fun already in August.
-Charlie
-
It was pretty great just goes to show ya how many good people there are in this sport. Sorry I couldent stick around longer, isn't Irish designated camp cook I cant complain bout anything I had, great meetin everyone I diden't already know Charlie,Don,and Miranda.
-
Levi,
Good meeting ya'. Plus, it's always good to have a work horse in camp!
I might come out there again in early September to set a few more blinds if anyone wants to go out again later. Who knows, we might see a few more groundhogs?
-Charlie
-
Let me know when Charlie and I'll see if I can make this one.
-
More groundhogs?... I thought we got them all.
-
I thought whistle pigs were protected on AEP land!
-
Charlie I'll be there for sure. I am trying to get a huntin buddy of mine to join in this time. I called you and left a message about gettin one of those shirts. Talk to you soon.
-
Aaron,
I still have quite a few shirts left and will save one for you. I just got your message a little bit ago, I will give you a call tomorrow. My phone has been acting kinda funny the last 3 or 4 days. Messages have been coming in anywhere from an 6 minutes to 3 hours after someone calls without the phone ever ringing. Glad your going to make it out again this year!
For Anyone that will be at the OSTA State shoot in Jackson, I will be there the 5th and 6th and will have the shirts and with me.
-Charlie
-
I run the Archery Barn at the Great Geauga co fair that weekend! :archer:

Dang Charlie, I'm in Jackson now. Let me check my schedule and see if I have anything going on that week end. I'll give you a call. Don,t sell my shirt.

Thanks! I'll get the shirt out to you ASAP.
I looked up your post on the buck you got last year. Well done! Are you going to the squirell hunt too?
-Charlie
-
Thanks Charlie, I don't think so I am fighting for every minute of deer time I can get. If I do venture into the squirrel woods it will be with my 10 year old son and a firearm.
-
You could come and shoot only the really big squirrels. You know, the ones with white tails and hooves. :saywhat:
-Charlie
-
The best times I spent hunting with my son was squirrel hunting with sticks. Glad we left the Iron at home. Mike :campfire:

She doesn't shoot. YET!!! But she seems really interested in archery and me so.. ME LIKEY.
-
OK Tommy Boy.....bring the lady in question and we'll behave...a little anyway. Don't let her know you cook for the love of all things holy!!!!
-
She already knows I like to cook.
-
Tommy Boy?
-
"Likey likey" ....it's from the movie Tommy Boy.
Irish,
What were you thinking letting her know you can cook...at least don't let her think you can do laundry too.
-Charlie
-
You screwed your self now buddy. Wait till you get our age and you'll be running to deer camp by your self every chance you get. Besides there is always some gong-ho kid there you can talk into doing all the cooking for ya. Right chuckie? :scared:
Tommy boy, thats a good one!
-
:bigsmyl: Morgan and Levi got the butchering covered for us...right boys?
-Charlie
-
If Irish cooks I will butcher.... The field dressing is all you, I know its a priveledge and honor but im not worthy.
-
I'll try to find a kid who needs ssome practice you can just tell em everytime you make em do it that it's good practice and they need it.
-
hey and even if i can cook no one told her I was good at it. And I have no idea how to do laundry or dishes. They aare an art that is lost on me. I just can't seem to master them :goldtooth:
-
Man, , , , if I hang out here long enough I may have to just shoot one and sit back and watch.

UP? Oh look Charlie it's a big squirell in that tree. WACK IT. SHOOO! THWACK! wooo THUD! WOO HOO! Hey guys dinners on me.
-
A tree stand may be a Great Idea!
-
There are MANY spots a climber would be wicked effective out there, but I'm still going to be on the ground. Deer see me quicker in the trees anyhow because I wont go above 10-12 feet. I'm not a huge fan of heights!
-Charlie
-
Besides you 10 feet high would scare the living crap out of me!! :scared: I'm sorry dude I just couldnt stop myself :banghead:
-
It will get you closer to the squirrels! :jumper:
-
Hell guys I'll help anyone with the field dressing I kinda like it. Call me crazy ! I can't wait till Nov.

Aaron~ How do you feel about dragging?
-
Dragging? Grow a set and carry it out on your shoulders.
-
Matt,this isn't the skwerl thread.
-
I only shoot the Big Boys! The last three I killed I almost had me loose the set I have!
-
LOL! You guys crack me up! If I was 10 feet tall, I could only be bigger and better Drummer!
:saywhat:
-Charlie
Get your boots on boys, cuz it's getting deep.
-
Thats funny oldskool. Did they have deer in your younger days or had they come out of the primortial ooze. Just pokin fun.

Drummer,
We have volunteers to:
1. Cook
2. Field dress deer
3. Butcher deer
4. Dishes......any volunteers?
I am one h_ll of a deer hunt organizer/whizz/guru.
:bigsmyl:
I have to give credit where it is due though.......I think I must get it all from BOMOFO, he is my hero! :notworthy: LOL
Now we just have to find some cabana girls to bring us drinks! :clapper: :clapper:
-Charlie

If Matt is going to wear a grass skirt I'll bring a camera and my puter so we can post pictures.
Yes Matt, we had deer when I was young.
Charlie, You trying to say that this is going to be a Deliverance week end? I don't think I want to go now! You guys are startin to scare me.
-
YEEHAW! Scare you? You just said you were bringing a camera to see a guy in drag. Yeah and we're the weird ones.
-
Thanks Charlie now that I'm scared for life with that mental image! And then you have to through in the whole deliverance weekend thing.
ZZZZZZZ, cold drinks seved to me by a beautiful woman in buckskin next a warm fire after a long day of hunting. I may not leave!
-
sounds like we're going to have a blast down there this year can't wait. man i wish i could've maid it down there with ou guys to build some blinds. getting excited already though. can't wait.

i don't think you should get excited about crazy hillbilly love.

But it's Important
All available GOSH funds are going to a 12 year old girl at Cincinnati Children s Hospital. Tori who has cystic fibrosis and is in need of a liver transplant. the expenses are mounting and they need help. she is in constant pain But never complains about it.her biggest wish is to go deer hunting with her uncles.money raised at the Gosh is going to the family to ease the burden Mike
-
ttt
-
****Listen up guys****** :wavey:
When you buy an Ohio traditional deer hunt shirt, 100% of the funds will go toward this little girl's operation. Let's sell them out! It should wind up being about a $130 donation. Shirts are $10 each in sizes Large and XL.
Hope everything comes out okay Mike. We are pulling for her!
-Charlie
-
Torie is doing pretty good. She has her good days and her bad days. She gets tired very easily and that bugs the heck out of her. She would rather run than walk and usually if she can't run, she won't go. Torie goes to school 2-3 days a week for 1/2 day and then is tutored the rest of the time. They have to go to Cincinnati Children's Hospital soon for an evaluation and to have some kind of bands wrapped around her liver. I'm not sure what that procedure is all about, I just know she has to have it done periodically.
Hearing of the generosity from the OSTA family overwhelmed them tremendously
-
Thanks Charlie!
-
It's the least that we can do. Wish I could do more.
-Charlie
-
Alone we are vulnerable! Together we are STRONG! ;)

I have a bow I can auction off Mike. It's a 58" 62# @ 28" Cactus Cal hybrid style longbow. If you think it could make some money to help it's yours.

No good deed is left unnoticed! :clapper:

This is the best group of guys around. Good on ya Irish! Sorry about this weekend bud.
-Charlie
-
Mike,
if you want I can post pics of it . I would like to do the auction until the deer hunt and draw after that if it sounds good to you. let me know.

Hey Charlie you know if it doesn't pour rain saturday or sunday Im gonna call you a girl for the rest of your life. .... Yeah I remember this one time Charlie and I were supposed to go hunting and he backed out cause it was sprinkling. What a girl! ..... :biglaugh:

Just glad to see you aren't too pi$%^ed off about it. :smileystooges: I felt bad, but at least we will be hunting at GOSH next weekend rain or shine! See you soon bud.

Less than a month! cant wait to get back!

Me too, but it's going to be a bit tough even getting out this year. Amy has been pretty sick lately and there is a lot to do around the house with the kids and all.
If I wasn't the one planning it, I likely wouldn't make it out.
I still look forward to a little time to reset my brain though.
:campfire:
-Charlie
-
Let me talk to my buddy and we might bring some redneck crap talking and arrow flinging up there. How many people usually show up and how many acres are there to hunt?
-
Ususally 9-12 guys are hunting on any given day.
AEP has about 34 thousand acres of reclaimed mining land allowable for hunting. We hunt an area that has about 20 thouand acreas of that total. Yes, I said 20,000! The place is huge and much of it is never even hunted until gun season.
There are a number of deer that will grow old and die in there due to the terrain. It is rough country with lots of highwalls and marshy areas. Plenty of hideouts for huge bucks!
-Charlie
-
Which area do you guys hunt and camp at? Do they have electric or is it all primitive?
-
waknstak,
Campsite K off of road T13 is where we camp. It is south of Cumberland Ohio about 7 miles. Check page one of this thread for all the info.
There are a good number of out-of-state guys that hunt AEP, but I seldom run into anyone near where I hunt. I honestly don't even have to go in all that far. It is just an out of the way place in the middle of nowhere. You are as likely to shoot a deer in the marshes as on a ridge top. The key to this place is the funnels.
There are tons of ponds and highwalls that block travel.
If you can get to the back of the ponds, there are usually heavy deer trails there. I wish to God I had a canoe and trailer. I can't imagine how many more deer you could get to!
Another good way to hunt out there is to find where the deer go around the high walls. Again you will find heavy trails in these locations.
I hunted a funnel that wasn't hot this last weekend, but it will be soon! I have seen a good number of deer there in the past.
-Charlie
-
Charlie, I have that 14 ft alum. v hull.
-
Sorry if this sounds dumb, what exactly is a highwall?? Never heard the term before.
-
This is mostly reclaimed mining land. So it is what it sounds like. A big high wall, usually make of rock. Some of these I've seen 100 ft high. The deer have to manuver around these just like we do.
-
I've seen deer run straight up those shale cliffs! The areas that are above are usually mature hard woods, during gun season deer run off on occasion, You definitely want to be mindful in the dark! :scared:
-
Our reclaimed mining areas here don't have those. Or at least the ones I've hunted. usually just big mounds with a lot of small deep lakes here but no steep drops.
-
I've seen them jump straight off the highwalls and land on the slope at the bottom without breaking stride. Pretty amazing.
-
I have seen deer jump highwalls during gun season when they felt obligated to jump or die for sure. Otherwise, when bowhunting they usually go around. BINGO :scared:
Anyway, it will make a heck of an evening hunting spot when I can see what I'm doing!
-Charlie
-
Looked at some arial shots of the area. Pretty unique terrain you have there.
-
There are tons of areas off limts since they are still working in many places.
-
Hey Charlie I will bring my canoe with me to camp this year. You and I will make a trip or two back to those remote spots. Sound good?
-
Sounds good!
-
Hey Ohiobowhunt I didn't know you lived in picktown I live in carroll. you wanna get to gether some time? I am going out with a fella from lancaster soon probably to tar hallow if you wanna go?
-
(http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r267/bowmofo/GOSH09035.jpg) I took a few pictures before the batteries went dead right before small buck came in. Still waiting for rut!
-
(http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r267/bowmofo/GOSH09039.jpg) Seeing her with the youngsters makes it easier not to shoot!
-
In case you were wondering that is my BH in the first pic.
-
Bomofo sweet pics ! Celtic that would be cool to hunt together. I hunt three different spots around Pickerington. I used to hunt a farm in Carroll but not anymore... long story. when are you headed to Tar Hollow.
-
Enjoying spending time at home with the kids, but getting more excited to do some serious deer hunting in November! My guilt levels and cold symptoms are decreasing, so I am about ready to get out bow hunting again. Took two weeks off and feel good about getting back out, but I am hoping to bring something home this time!

-Charlie
-
Man I am 0 for 2 so far. Been out three times had two shots and missed them both just over their backs :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: I've got to seal the deal asap cuz my freezer is empty.
-
Aaron  Pick A Spot!
-
Or are they dropping at the shot, AKA jumping the string? Hmmmm.....
Sorry to hear it Aaron, but you will be ok. You made good last year and it is just a matter of time this year too I'm sure.
I told my wife I should go hunting this evening because I just had a "feeling". I walk out my door to go pick up some straw and there were two deer running down my street! The feeling was right, but my freezer is still empty too. :(
-Charlie
-
LOL ... you guys are right I need to concentrate more on a spot. I know that that is my problem. To be honest the first one was a straight up miss but the second one dropped out of the way. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining it's just that this is only my second year with trad gear and my success rate with the wheel bow was very very high... But I have not had this much fun hunting in years.
-
Charlie I was on stand for 3hrs in the rain and didn't see a thing. it still was nice to get some piece & Quiet. Mike
-
just weeks away
-
I'm already sweating the details of gathering all my gear and making sure I have everything I need.
-
Oldskool just missed out on getting a deer tonight!
Used a shotgun to putdown a big fox squirrel with my girls this morning. Had a blast sitting in the blind with them. It is amazing the amount of movement the little wiggle worts can get away with in there. They were sooooo excited!
I'm not packing just yet for the November trip, but all the deer activity this weekend has me ready to go. I'll be hunting down there soon, even before the official deer camp.
-Charlie
-
Okay, I lied....I'm ready to go pretty much right now. My mind seems to be completely possessed by thoughts of deer in the woods slipping around my favorite corner.
I'm going to have to take some time off to get down there and hunt. I just can't wait anymore!
-Charlie
-
buckeye_hunter went out to my spot tonite and seen several deer. NOW Charlie, tell every one why I turned down the 7 yard chip shot!
-
Sorry Rob, but the deer I saw was WAY smaller! It was maybe 40 lbs, still a small fawn. I was suprised to see one so small this late in the fall. It was so little it looked like they do right after they are born, but minus the spots. Seriously, it still looked gangley and had the big knee joints with the large tendon visible. At first I though a small/medium size dog was coming through.
Even I wouldn't have shot that one! Although, it would have convienently fit in my backpack.
-Charlie
-
has any one been down there doin any more scouting. or seen any down there. not to far away. if anybody is intrested in going next weekend. might make an extra drive down.

Less than Two Weeks left!
-
Jim,
We have found some spots that look good. I found a few more funnels and a new spot I have yet to scout. We will have to see when I can get that done. I could come out Saturday evening the 31st and hunt that night and Sunday. We could do some more looking around/scouting.
I just haven't been able to get down there much. We have been dealing with Swine flu in my house for about 3 weeks. We have to get everybody through it hopefully soon. I was going to go to AEP with Irish last weekend, but too many sick people around here to be 3 hours away.
Let me know if anyone wants to hunt the evening of the 31st and Sunday the 1st. I'm willing to head out that way.
-Charlie
-
Mike,
You aren't shooting does?
-Charlie
-
-
Heya Charlie. I think our current plan is to come out Friday as soon as Dylan gets off work, set up camp and do a bit of still-hunting / scouting. We'll stay there that night and hunt Saturday but need to be back in town on Sunday.
That's the plan anyway. :-D
-
Sound good Jim! Haven't seen you guys in a while.
-
almost time
-
I will be near Peebles at my friends farm the first two weeks of November. This will be my third annual trip, so far I have not taken a buck but have seen some good ones. This morning he called and said he has seen some small bucks trailing does this week. It was 90 degrees here yesterday afternoon, cant wait to hit the woods Saturday afternoon in the nice 50 degree weather of Southern Ohio.
-
looks like i might be heading down mon sometime or tues. any other takers will to go I have another buddy going down with me.
-
Starting to look like I may be able to make this hunt either Friday night or early Saturday morning! Have to head back home Saturday night though.
-
We would be glad to have you come out Kenny. Never really met you, but feel like I know ya'.
Just about 5 1/2 days away!
-Charlie
-
I hope I'm back to work and wont make it till Fri night. if not I'll be there on Thursday morning!
-
I need directions. PPPPPP Please !!!!!
-
Take Rt 70 East past Zanesville.
Then 83 south.Go through Cumberland and continue for about 7 more miles.
Left onto T13 (there is a big lit up sign on this road). I can't remember what it says, but it is the 1st and only road that has a lighted sign.
Go straight until you see campground K sign and then turn left.
Going into the camping area, stay left and that is where we camp.
-Charlie
-
4 of us from Alabama are headed to Ohio on Monday.
-
Freaking Sick. man this has been my season to date. I have only been out one time all season and usually by now I might have missed a total of one weekend. Now I'm sick. Every chance that I haven"t felt like a Gigantic turd some dumb thing has come up. ERR. Well I have the 4-9th off and I don't care how I feel I'm gonna hunt even if it kills me. So keep your medical bags with you cause I am going to hunt hard. I can't wait to see you all there. Say a ;ittle prayer that I feel better if you can. Happy hunting.
-
That's the spirit, Matt. Don't call in, crawl in! Take a shot, puke and do what ya gotta do.
p.s. No puking at the campfire!
:bigsmyl:
-
Thanks Charlie I remember now.
-
Hey John, hope you guys have a good time and some luck. But there are not any deer here in Ohio. You may want to check out Kentucky. Trust me there are no deer in Ohio did I mention there are no deer in Ohio !!!! :p

Heh - big bag of smashed buttholes. Lol.
Our plan is to race out there Thursday night to set up camp and (hopefully) do a speed scout of the area we want to hunt. We need to head back to Columbus that night but plan to come back out late Friday afternoon to hunt and enjoy the campfire, etc. and then we should be there all day Saturday.

A back of the pond slip in mite be kinda cool, but I would really liked to be droped off in the swamp one night in the next lake up. Every time I've ever jumped a deer at that end they always run into that swamp.
-
You mean the second half of the big pond? Back near where we drove on that road in August?
Heck, A few trips in the canoe and we could slip a bunch of guys in the back side of those woods all along the two ponds.

My camera is a Panasonic Lumix its not that expensive and over 5yrs old I'm just getting used to it. I had a basket 8pt come in make a scrape and pose for me but it was too dark for the camera. He would be a dandy next year!
-
I'm planning on getting down there about 8pm or so Wed night with Rob. See you all there! I will have signs posted. This is my last post until I get back Sunday night from camp! Hopefully we will have lots of pics to put up.

I'll be there sometime before noon tomorrow. I can't ever seem to get my stuff together to go. I hate being scatter brained. Stupid bi-polar. See yall there. Good luck.
-
Me and Edd will be down on Saturday in the AM.
-
Good to see everyone there. Sorry I had to bail out early... you guys know how it is. Bowmofo you didn't miss out on anything on the back side of the upper pond. Once you get to the cattails that's where your travels end canoe couldn't get through and there is no way you are going to walk through it. Hope everyone had a good time and hope someone connected on a deer !

Another outstanding time! Dylan and I were only able to be there for a bit Thursday evening then all evening Friday through late Saturday evening but we had a ball like always.
Here are some of the pictures I took - anyone else have any?
Here's one of Dylan as he shows the gore on his arrow after having center-shot a rotten puffball mushroom.

Some of the sleeping quarters. As always - Tony's is the coolest (or warmest, depending on perspective).

well made it home safely. Had a great time just like the last two years. like to thank charlie for putting these things together. nice seeing all of use again and some moe new faces. sorry no pics.
-
Aaron sorry I missed you, I showed at the crack of dawn on Saturday and was surprised at all the small gamers out and about, the deer must have thought it was lead season and went nocturnal on us! rubs and scrapes were everywhere you would think they should be, I did see a small buck pestering what could have been his sister and enough squirrels to keep me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Hunting in such a vast public hunting area with brutal terrain has many challenges and we all came out of this with a better knowledge of the area and its inhabitants. The best part of the trip was Saturday nights fireside gathering. We need to this more often.
-
I had a great time .got to see old friends and made some new ones thanks guys.cant wait for next hunt.hey did anyone fined a dirty spoon.
-
LOL Mustafa.....good time, but some slow hunting for me. Heck, I came home with a sunburn from a deer hunting trip!
-Charlie

Vern I may have brought home the dirty spoon in question. I wanted a souvenir of one of the funnyest parts of the trip. Its on the wall where the mount I didnt kill should be. Thanks for the memories Irish :biglaugh:

Had a blast guys! It was nice to see the new and the old faces. Who's cooking next year? I want to spend more time eating and hunting than cooking. Next year i will have a cot and no bed roll damn I can't sleep on that thing. Plus I will have a new hunting rig I just bought an 89 cherokee off of my brother. Time to build a real rig. Whats all this talk of a dirty spoon. I know I left one laying around somewhere let me know if you find it. LOL
-
hey jim you got any time left on vac. maybe we can get in some rabbit hunting or something.
-
I'm in Mike! As long as I'm back to shooting my bow. I have a bad vertibrae in my neck and it is causing some problems in neck and shoulder right now. It usually takes a week to go away. I can shoot jmy bow, but don't want to pay the price for doing it.
-Charlie

-
hey guys we need to stay in touch.maybe we can do something else had a great time.
-
Sounds good to me. You guys could have come doofus spotting with me today. It looked like deer hunting but, trust me - it was doofus spotting.
I heard one guy coming several minutes before I actually saw him walking hard, fast and loud (shotgun at port arms, of course) through my area. He finally saw me, turned a bit to stomp a little farther away from me and marched out of sight (but not out of hearing).
Other than double-lunging an old Miller can (Ace Hex Head for the win!) the day was a bust but still better than work.
-
Doofus spotting! :biglaugh: I hope you dont mind if I use that one.
Bill
-
Thats funny Jim!
