Hey all,I'm gonna be in the Loveland-Ft. Collins area on Sat.and was wondering if there were any archery shops that would be worth stopping at I'm not looking for anything specific just window shopping. Yea Right;)
Jax is in Ft Collins, on the very road you take to get to the elk woods. Here's the address: 1200 N College Ave Fort Collins, CO 80524-1212 (970) 221-0544
There are well stocked areas for hunting, fishing (MANY flies), hiking, camping, boating, great map selection, etc. Perhaps the best part of the store is the army surplus room. This is huge, filled with great stuff from around the world (be sure to look at the wool pants), at great prices.
There used to be a great shop on the north end of town called Arrow Dynamics. I imagine it is still there. Jim Weidner owned the place and that is where Eichler worked when he first moved from Florida to Colorado.
Go to JAX. It is a huge outdoor store. It is worth the trip.
If you can make it to the northern part of the Denver metro area, Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear is worth the trip. More trad bows than you can count, as well as hunting gear and custom knives. You won't be disappointed. They even have a range where you can shoot any bow that catches your eye. Bring your checkbook, LOL!
I'm with Scattershot, Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear has the best selection of traditional archery gear. Last time I was in Jax (june) they had a small corner of the store with archery stuff. Good luck.
thanks for the info i'll have to check them out.
There is a shop called Arrow Dynamics in fort collins. Not a lot of trad gear but good people.
What Ferret Said.....Nice people, Nice indoor range, No trad. gear
