What is the animal you most want to hunt?
Mine are bear and javs.
ELK!!!
Alaska dall sheep, the hunt itself would be the ultimate dream.
Bugling elk or spot and stalk mule deer.
FORGOT ABOUT THEM ELK AND HOGS:-)
Float hunting for moose...or spot and stalk, free range bison.
I would love to kill a moose or elk, but a big Adirondack buck is tops on the list..believe it or not.
Kodiak Brown Bear......I've gotta have me one of them "bear skin rugs"....before I die.
Winterhawk1960
Moose
mine is simple...javelina and unlimited shots at some big texas jackrabbits. :)
Mountian lion would be on top of the list.
Moose or Brown bear. Gonna make a trip to Alaska some day!
Nyala and elk
Had the chance for Nyala in Africa but passed for the Kudu - good reason to go back.
J
Any of the big critters out west, but Mt. Goat or Sheep would the hunt of a lifetime. Mostly because of where they live, The high country is really something.
Moose or Caribou! It would be a hard choice if I could only pick one!!
Moose definitly
Red River Hogs, spot & stalk.
Coolest looking critter on the planet!
More hog hunting.
But the ultimate dream would be coastal brown bear in ak.
Hands down Griz, with any sheep species a close second
The Florida Skunk Ape.
But since skunk apes are VERY scarce I'll take a griz hunt
Bear then elk. Small ones would be fine.RC
Moose most definately!
Moose or Bighorn. Both of these just scream North American Wilderness to me for some reason. I've got 8 points for both in WY hopefully in the next 3 years one of them will come true. Joe
Mt Lion...I turn 50 next year, so I need to get it done soon... :)
Big O'l Hog of a Red Deer!!!!!! Yaaa!!!
Eastern woodland buffalo. They don't exsist anymore I know but it is a dream.
Black Bear in the U.P. of MI
yukon moose and wolf
Moose, anywere !!
GLENN
The ten point gopher that is digging up my back yard!! Then maybe a mule deer.
Sitka Blacktail...the hunt in itself would be worth it!
Josh
I'm regretting never hunting a Mtn Goat. I seen some while Moose hunting in BC and was hooked ever since. Those cliffs and bluffs are made for younger legs and unfortunately now, the costs have gone up that its out of my reach. I think they make a beautiful shoulder mount.
The scaly-backed newt.
YETI!!!
:scared:  :D :help:
If we are dreaming I will say Cougar, Grizzly Bear and Lion. I don't have the money or the confidence for the last 2 yet.
Spot and stalk Hogzilla's BIG BROTHER! Bill
Moose or free ranging bison would number 1. Elk is a close 2nd. Unless something unexpected happens, I'll be chasin' elk next fall in Oregon! Mike
BigHorn sheep,
LEOPARD
Bighorn sheep,Ibex or mountain goat would be the ultimate hunt for me.
Josh,
I was going to say that. Out of all the animals I've hunted, if I could pick only one to go after for the rest of my days it would be the Sitka Blacktail and this is why:
even the airport is paradise!
Kodiak Brown Bear , Dall Sheep or Mt. Goat, since I'm dreaming why not put them all on my bucket list.
Right now one Mature Bull Wapiti please. New Mexico here I come....
If I had the time and resources ($$$) I would go after the Cape Buffalo. In a heartbeat.
But, here in the states I'd go after pigs over anything else. I went after hogs once and it was the most fun trip I've done.
Booner Whitetail
Sheep. I can't sleep.... I dream about sheep. Ha!
I would like to go for Dahl someday.
To keep things realistic for me, I'd have to say kudu and gemsbok. But I think "Black Death" would be a real kick in the pants.
A Kapibara in Argentinias big swomps
Not sure if this is what your asking but I dream of the same Dall ram repeatedly every year before I go alpine. He is a 12 year old with massive bases and one side broomed off to about 3/4 curl, the other looks like half of a 40 inch ram! In the dream I come around a big boulder with just enough of a path around it I can get by without falling. As I round the corner he's standing there with no where to go but strait up. As he goes for it I put a shaft through his hart at about 10 yards! I'll find him someday!
If someone where to hand me a butt load of cash and say "hunt anywhere for anything" my first choice would not be Moose! I think cape buff would be way up there!
moose or caribou however i feel like i'm living the dream hunting these big Adirondack whitetails!!! would loce to chase elk through the Rockies as well.
My dream animal would be Caribou.
My dream hunt would be Caribou with Fred Bear and my Dad. Both are gone now, but would have been a real hoot listening to those 2.
In the states.... a Whitetail with bases as big as your wrist w/ double drops pushing 300 on the scales. Across the water, a Cape Buff or Sable.
tahr and chamois. tahr off a windswept bluff in nz's southern alps. if i won the lotto i would give north america a better go than i was able to when i was there.
heading off to live amongst the water buffulo for awhile. one of them with a stone point would take some beating for me.
would love to hunt central asia and mongolia too. ibex, sheep, any of those exotic mountain goats/sheep. marco polo sheep. i love my mountain hunting.
New Zealand Red Stag.
Any of the North American sheep species with Stone being on top.
moose
Cape Buffalo... and I leave for that trip in 2 days
The neighbor's stray cat.
GOOD LUCK BUFF:-)
Sheep. Moose is a close second and would be a little more in my price range. But since we're dreaming it would be any kind of sheep.
Mine changes, right now its DIY Black Bear
Grizzly baby, Grizzly all the way.
GRIZZLY BEAR AND MOUNTAIN GOAT.
Bull Elk
anything that has a chance to hunt you back. prefferably griz.
elk, hogs and big white tail deer. o ya!!!! :bigsmyl:
Moose and griz
A black bear hunt with my son on my 50th birthday!
Elk would be it for me, but wait this is a dream animal so make it a dragon. :biglaugh:
Definetely a kaffer/cape buffalo. The one animal responsible for most hunter deaths a year. And I want to down it.
A good 6x6 elk screamin his head off at 15 yds, on a crisp Sept morning.
My ultimate would be a Asian Water Buff. My next would be spot & stalk black bear in Alaska.
I have always dreamed of the chance to shoot a running buffalo while riding along side it on a horse. What a rush!! Not sure how many horses would be willing to accompany me on that hunt.
I have always wanted to hunt caribou. Doesn't matter which one. I would like to see that long river of animals flowing towards me, and one in particular with great tops and a double shovel!
OkKeith
The argali, the Marco Polo being the most famous. Those huge curling horns and the top of the world where they hang out!!!
Does anybody know if a trad bowhunter has ever taken one?
Don't really have one. :) I once thought I would like to hunt elk but a buddy gave me some backstraps that were tougher than a rutting buck.Another gave me some caribou and it was tender and tasted great. So caribou is as close to a dream animal as any for me I guess. :D
Bison or Elk
Dall Sheep, or Mt. Goat... without a doubt. The hunt would be an incredible challenge and even without taking an animal would put me in some high country I have never seen before!
That said, my little savings jar at home has "Elk or Moose Hunt" written on it... b/c let's face it, 25 g's to go on a hunt is a bit outside of the common-man's price range (hell its kinda insane and possibly criminal to pay/charge that much money to hunt an animal) ;)
And, Dave, Mermaids are protected...
Big horn sheep, cape buffalo, big bears.
Southern Colorado/New Meico Elk
My dream animal is the first one my son gets, and I'm there to enjoy it.
Moose and elk top my list.
The giant forest hog of central africa. That red river hog Rob spoke of is a real close second.
what about the walrus Dave ha ha
how about Cape Buff
lord Derby Eland (if you'v never seen one search it on Google) out of the deep central African forests
Dall Sheep, Mtn. Goat, Big Horn, Caribou, Elk, Black Bear, Moose, Pronghorn, Mule Deer, Blacktail, Sitka, Couse, wild hog, Javelina, Red Stag, Blesbuck, Wildebeast, Duiker, Impala, Warthog, Stingray, Shark, Alligator, Alligator Gar, Green Clovers Blue Diamonds and Purple Horseshoes
Dave wasn't gonna shoot it. . . just . . dream about it a little.
How about raptors
ChuckC
Marco Polo ram, New Zealand Red Stag, Mountain Caribou, and a horse back Buffalo hunt. I'd throw in the sheep of North America, Dall and Stone at the top.
This is an easy call; my dream animal is the big blackie that's hanging behind me in my member photo. I call him "Boomerang Bear" because four days after I blew a shot at him (He was so close that I failed to focus and pick a spot!) he came back and gave me a second opportunity. That was AFTER he climbed my tree and tried to knock me out of it. AH, sweet revenge:^)
venison.
Andy,
Walrus is on that list as well and I've got the guys to take us any year we want. I'd prefer to find some Inuit's that don't smoke! My buddies stories of being out to sea for 12 days in the hold of a steel ship with 6 Inuits that chain smoke have kinda got me giving that trip second thoughts. Giant forest hogs and red river hogs sound much better but the 20G price tag is kinds stiff.
Brown bear, Alaska Yukon Moose, Big horn Sheep, Elk, Mountain Lion. If I had to pick just one ? Well I would have to float the Moosejohn for the AK/YK Moose.
Alot of different animals, that is for sure.
Moose or Caribou
Bison on horseback in full galopp :archer:
Bison, cariboo, moose, deer, bear and wolf.
In any order! :) :) :)
F-Manny
I forgot to add elk, sheep and water buffalo!
bmb....i dont know about dream animal with the jackrabbits, but they sure are fun to shoot.
Elk!!!
Bill
Bighorn sheep
Brown Bear and sheep in Kamchatka.
bighorn sheep with my mohawk would completely fullfill my hunting career
Arwin,
Now that was funny, LOL. I hope others caught that.
Alaskan Moose

New Zealand Red Stag.
That would be awesome also...I even have the wife onboard since there are several Spa's in the area for her to pass the time.
Josh
Grizzly or Brown Bear! :scared:
I want a 6x6 elk at six yards! Horse back hunt into the high country of course.
Would love to call in a wolf. Just to get a deer with my bow would make me happy.
Feral donkey and feral dromedary camel.
Man, I wish we still had mastodont running through upstate NY.Would love to try my new Steelforce 145 trads on one.
Alaskan Brown Bear. Also would like a bull elk hunt.
Red Stag in NZ
Nice answers...
To me the ultimate hunt would be one like what Art Young filmed or a hunt like the one in the 700 Miles Alone DVD.
An Alaskan hunt that would last months and include hunting the mountains, valleys, and watersheds for whatever critters lived there. I would have one good bowhunting friend along. We would hunt together sometimes and alone sometimes, but we would always meet up and share our experiences by the campfire. (or stove if no fire was feasible...) The fishing, scenery, camaraderie, and closeness to God would be awesome.
Yeah... That's my dream hunt... todd
Doesn't matter what the critter is...from groundhogs to rhinos any hunt with a good group of friends and family is special. That's what I strive to do one day...a long camp trip with a handfull of friends!
I do really want to shoot some pigs though!
I like what todd smith said, just me and a bowhunting buddy hunting in alaska for anything over a couple of months
An alaskan wilderness drop camp or float trip for moose and caribou.
Well, first of all any animal hunted with my bow is great. But dream hunt would be a few compiled on a DVD so grandkids can see what pappy loved to do. Dream animal to hunt, you guys are going to think I am crazy, but would love to bowfish a Carcharodon carcharias (great white).
A decent Pronghorn Buck. They have been my favorite of American species since I was a child.
Best of all I was invited to with a fellow tradganger in SD for a stickbow antelope this September. Can't wait!
The 16 point I saw last year!
