I ordered some CX250 Heritage shafts cut to 30" for my 52# @ 27" Fedora recurve. I plan to load the front up with 275 grains (100 grain brass insert and 175 grain broadhead). Does this look about right, or should I have ordered the CX 150's?
You are right on the edge of what would work for me. You should be ok. Would it be the end of the world if you had to use a heavier broadhead?
Probably have to leave them pretty long
You will be fine I also shoot same shaft 30" long and same poundage and 100gr brass insert and 145 to 225 gr tip weight they fly real well for me with a Stealth recurve that is 54 lbs :wavey:
I'd have gone with the 150's I have 250's and they take 390gr. upfront to bareshaft well. Depends on your bow though. Contrary to the others I'd be happier with a little less weight- around 550-600 total weight for me.

I guess I could try some heavier sreel adaptors if their too stiff. I'll find out soon enough.
"Steel" that is :)
I have tried the 250 at 31 with 350 up front at 55# and they are still a little stiff. I'm switching to 150's.
Got my arrows today. Fletched one up with 3 5" shield cut feathers and it "flew like an arrow". No kick at all. However, like I read on another thread, the nock popped off with the first shot. I'll have to glue them in place.
