Title: F.O.C. ?
Post by: Anaconda12 on July 26, 2009, 12:55:00 PM
What would fellas think would be the optimum % of f.o.c. for heavy laminated birch arrows?  Or is there an optimum number?  I have been playing with the internal footing jig a little and have been wondering/  Thanks, right now my arrows are 30 in total length and with a 160 broadhead and a 70 gr.piece of 7018 welding rod inserted my total wieght is 700 gr. with a 10% f.o.c.  Again just wondering from your  experiences what % seems to perform the best.

I think i only have 10% with a close to an 800gr arrow and They bury pretty deep into 3D targets. I figure if they blow thru deer like my cedar light weight parrelell that only had a 125gr point then I'll be fine.
