I know that hot melt is the standard for gluing in bh adapters but can barge or duco work?
I only use Barge cement for gluing leather, side plates and rest or quiver work.I only use Duco for fletching on wood shafts with a polyurethene finish.I prefer hot melt for broadhead adatpers.I don't believe those are strong enough for broadhead adapters,Duco is too thin.
JB weld for me, never tried barge or duco on inserts and would think they are not strong enough metal on metal.
Use an epoxy.JB weld is great stuff to use, easy and cost little. contact type cement(barge) and duco would not be good.

do not use barge or duco for inserts/adapters.
you can use...
hot melt,jb weld, gorilla glue, 2part epoxy.
Bear,
As is mentioned above, barge and duco adhesives are NOT strong enough.
I use slow set, two part epoxy glue for my adapter/broadhead joints. The slow set gives you lots of time to ascertain that the broadhead is mounted true on the adapter.
I also use this epoxy to glue my adapter/broadhead assembly into my shafts. And I alos use this glue to affix points to my wood shafts.
I also use the slow set epoxy, preferably the marine version, for installing inserts and for bonding inserts to broadheads. The marine epoxy usually blends to a gray mixture when the two parts are combined and is very strong, somewhat flexible, water resistant, etc. JB Weld epoxy is very similar. The fast set epoxy is good for most purposes, but the slow set is much better. Barge Cement is great stuff, but not for inserts. Duco has limited use, mainly for feathers on wood shafts and for other fairly light adhesive purposes.

I argee with amar911, epoxy is the best. I use Easton 24hr epoxy over JB weld just because the Easton epoxy is heat reversable to a greater degree than JB Weld. dino
All I use is JB Weld for installing all inserts in arrows.
