I love hunting deer because they are plentiful and convenient but my best memories come from a bulls bugle in the Colorado mountains.
Without a doubt HOGS!
Hogs and squirells. I love my deer but I tend to put to much pressure on my self. I love the hogs because I go with my friends and it is just one of those things I live for. Ah who am I kiddin I love the deer 2.
Pronghorn.
Dall sheep and Mountian goat, I love going alpine!
That be hard to say,I enjoy them all in different aspects.
I like chasing Whitetails as much as the next guy but chasing Elk is my favorite by far.
DD
Your a lucky man Big Ed, Personally I do not like hunting moose! Moose are a chore period, and not much of a challenge once a legal bull is located....you could stalk them with a tank and still be successful.
Turkeys, love to call them in.
Bullfrog...hands down, nothing else comes close. Turkey gobbles, aerial squirrel shots, the sound of a deer coming your way; they're all good fun, but nothing does it for me like slogging through a swamp or pond after a really big croaker...
Ohhhh Turkeys with a bow now that sounds fun! Are they at all like hunting cranes?
Incredibly easy to spook
Difficult to kill with a very small kill zone
Tough as nails in the field but tender as a lovers touch on the table
Well, my hunting experiences are pretty limited so, I would have to say without a doubt, deer! Perhaps that's because I've yet too harvest one too!
Chasing Whitetails for 40 years! But I would like to try Pronghorn Antelope one day. So many different North American animals not one diminishes the worth or desire to hunt the other. They're all great!

Kinda wish we had froggs now
I'm with Rick P
Tom if all goes well at the BOF meeting we may have a bunch of new critters to chase.......can you say salmon shark?
Squirrel and small game first, followed by hogs.
if i could only hunt one animal again it would be tusker, pigs, howgs every time :readit: :D
Whitetail deer!
Hogs.
Feral hogs. God's gift to the bowhunter.
ELK......47 days to go and counting
anything i can get a chance to. (probably because i have killed nothing but gar and snakes so far)
I like the pig huntin. I think because It's kinda new to me and I have to go quite a ways from home to hunt them. good excuse to take a road trip. I got deer , bear and turkeys in my back yard. But lately ive grown very fond of hunting foam with guys like these. Don (http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c222/526don/100_0424.jpg)
Hogs, but that coming from a fairly inexperienced point of view. I just like the fact that they can fight back!
Hogs. I'll leave a hot deer stand to chase pigs. Rabbits are a close 2nd.
Deer, hogs, and i love sticking some armadillo's.

You'd love Grizz then they will eat you and poo you back out before your imperfectly placed arrow kills them. I have a friend who nailed one while hunting Moose. He put an arrow in it's hart at 15 yards then a round from a 454 cassil at about 5 yards, it finally fell dead about 5 feet from him! It was what we would call a little guy at 7.5 feet long, from base of the tail to tip of the nose, only weighed about 800 pounds.
I love big mulies, nothing gets my blood boiling more!We hunted them with bows every year when I was a kid 20 years ago in northeastern CA.I think thats why I love them so much.Wouldn't care if I never got to hunt anything else as long as I could continue to chase big mulies.Go ahead and call them dumb, but you better show me a whole wall full of big ones to go along with your statement ;) BIll
For me, it has to be elk.
A brisk September morning, on a mountain top in Montana, with the shrill of a big bull's bugle ringing in my ears.
Now that's my heaven.
WHITETAILS WHITETAILS WHITETAILS WHITETAILS
Nothin funner than javelina.
I would go back out west and hunt elk,it was the best experience I ever had.The 3 p/y deer I have dont measure up too the 4x4 I was fortunate too arrow.
pigs are great fun!!!!
i love hunting goats in mountain country. small game is great. deer are a good challenge.
i especially love hunting in the alpine. tahr and chamios hopefully next year.
Great pic Clint!
What ever I'm hunting 4 the first time
Wow! Lot's of hog fans! Whitetails are my favorite, but that is all I have access to in Illinois. I have done a little hog hunting and really enjoyed it, so if we had hogs here in Illinois, it would be a tough choice for me!
Hard to choose. But I guess any of the wild sheep would be at the top. Big Horn, Dall ect..
Everything else comes in a close second.
Right now it's ground hogs.
Anyting in season Muledeer,Antetlope,Elk,smallgame,Waterfowl.Blake
Squirrels
Elk and Antelope! by far the most intriguing to me each owning a diferent sort of challenges.
Did anyone say Carp?
That's my passion with a bow.
PUBLIC LAND SIKA DEER
Not even close, Black Bear are my favorite animals to bowhunt.
Scary, wild and silent in some of the most beautiful country there is. I love to spot n stalk bears.
John III
Caribou are the best, most fun, spot and stock animal I have ever hunted.
Sheep & Mt. Goats!
Love to hear those elk screaming. Other stuff is fun, but elk are the best, at least until you have to pack them out.
Yeah the fun kinda slows down when the work of packing starts. There is no better feeling in the woods than walking up to a downed bull elk.Deer are a thrill, turkey are a pain in the a$$ because they never seem to make up their mind what they want to do(thats why i hunt them with a mossberg). After looking at all the replies i guess there isn't a criiter flesh or foam that isn't fun to shoot at,come to think of it some have been mentioned that a lot of us overlook.
Deer - just have the most access to them. Squirrels are a blast as you can get alot of shootin in on a days hunt. Bear - just cause I haven't got one yet with my bow! - strange but I slend almost every day of the short season chasing them - they are ghosts almost. I can get em 15 yards outside of season! But it is the chase.
J
There is nothing better than talking to elk. I'm hoping heaven has elk in the rut.

wow. the bear wouldnt be the only one pooping.
I talked with him about 2 hours after he got home, he was still a bit shaken.
This and the experiences of another friend, who is a members here, that same summer is why I always carry a side arm for bear now! Always!
Coyotes Theres nothing like having one run up on your lap hunting for the rabbit or the other coyote in his territory. And ground squirrels.
Hogs for me. I love to deer hunt, but it requires me to be very serious to be successful. I feel like I have to climb a tree to increase me odds, so now I have to carry a stand. Hogs give me the most hunting opportunities. They are plentiful, so I get many shots. They also eat well. I love to hear an big boar groan his disapproval after I accidentally spook one! Kind of a cross between a moan and a growl. Very deep and guttural. Hearing two boars fighting off in the distance, and trying to close on them is very exciting for me!
I'm with Toklat1, sheep and Mt goats. Nothing quite like being in the country they inhabit.
Deer and Squirrels but I sure wish there were some hogs around here .
Hogs, Deer, Squirrels

WOW! The biggest pig I have ever shot was only about 175 lbs., so an 800 pound grizzly would put me in shock. I'll put that on the bucket list. :D
So many critters...So little time...As long as I have a bow in my hand, whatever is in front of me is my favorite...
David
I love to shoot whitetail deer
Wapiti
Mule Deer
JackRabbits
Squirrel
Carp
In that order
Without a doubt, the mighty Moose.Nothing like a bull moose grunting and smashing the bush on a frosty October morning headed your way. When all you have is a sharp stick and string it kind of puts things in perspective. Bob
Pigs with out a doubt, now time has a funny way of changing things. Ive never hunted Elk, Moose, Bear or Whitetail, and a few others, ya never know in the comming years things might change.
I guess deer but i have always wanted to hunt javs and bear.
Bears, boars and wabbits
whatever is in season at the time, as long as i'm in the woods with my bow i'm happy
MOOSE!
Antelope
Sheep
High country mulies
Elk
Elk
Elk
Elk

Ditto... Some day I'll chase something bigger and meaner but for now nothing puts the hair on the back of my neck on end like a nasty, gristly hog. They fight, they stink, they make noise, they can kill you and they taste heavenly. Quite a package, really, and a serious adrenaline rush to hunt - and that's with a rifle! I'll let you know how I feel when I take one with a bow.
If i had porkchops walkin around in the woods i hunt i believe pigs would be my new favorite. It's hard to turn down the other white meat!
For me, Turkeys, then Gar, then whitetails, then hogs. Of course cupid shot the best shot when I found my wife.
Whitetails. I have been fortunate to hunt all manner of critters big and small. Nothing gets my heart pumping like a big whitetail slipping thru an east Texas swamp.
Guess they all can get you pumped up in one way or another.
I like hunting Hogs more than anything at this point in my life. A friend once said during a hunt,"Hogs were made for a bowhunter!" and I have to agree.
How about something exciting like Rattle snakes?
I love it all but like huntindad says big mulies have giving me more enjoyment in 40 years of hunting than any animal. Big moose are a close second because of the beautiful north country they inhabit.
HOGS. It was the first thing I killed with a long bow. And after that it would be squirels, Because that is one thing my 7 year old son and I have the most fun together, BUT HOGS
Good question, Preston.
I'm an old waterfowler - turned bowhunter (5 yrs in). I've taken a lot of deer now, in a short time, but haven't done so with the trad tackle (1st year hunting exclusively, coming up).
I love deer hunting, but probably because I don't live where elk roam. I'm headed to CO in '10 to test my theory....lol. I wanna hunt hogs, but it's gonna be '10 before I likely get a chance to do that, too. I WILL hunt muley's and pronghorn in the future. If I had the critters and the terrain...I'd see my hunting becoming more "down to earth" (out of the trees and on the ground). I need to get busy. I'd also like to take a bear.
"Huntin' foam" with you guys has been a lot of fun, also. Thanks for taking me to raise.
Jeff
I enjoy shooting with ya all the time i can Jeff. You are a quick study and i don't think you'll have any problems with hunting with your Shafer.Look forward to seeing ya soon.Preston
Elk will be top on the list, following in with a close second turkeys, then pigs.
Untill I can get someone to finance some of my dream hunts, I would have to say whitetails.
Squirrels then whitetails for me. Depending on time of year, the order may chage but it is one or the other.
Elk
Mule Deer
Elk
Turkey
Elk
Whitetails
In that order :D
Squirrels are my favorite but had a blast trying to hit frogs last weekend.Deer I put too much pressure on myself.
Whatever I am hunting at the time.
