How far from the nock do you fletch your feathers? Do you just allow room for finger clearance? I have some that are 3/8" and some that are 9/16" . Is there a general rule to use? Thanks for any advice. Drew
two lines up from the nock on the clamp of my Bitz.Don't know how far it is.Every arrow I own goes there except flu's and they fly great.
I have never measured, like vt I go 2 lines up on carbons and 5 when fletching wood arrows.
I just fletch them up enough for finger clearence.
I shoot 3 under so I place mine as close to the nock as I can.Blake
I now use my cock feather on my nose as an anchor reference. 4 marks up on my bitz puts me at my correct DL.
Thanks, I had just noticed the feathers on my wood arrows are closer to the nock than the ones on my aluminums. They were made by different people and I was curious if there was a prefered set point for clearance and stabilization. Thanks again, Drew

no, there is no method for where you start the feather from nock.
I do think it's smart to place them where at full draw, the back of my shield cut feathers touch the tip of my nose, because it gives a second anchor point. just my 2 cents.
