Title: Digital big game scale?
Post by: Archer 1 on July 21, 2009, 12:18:00 PM
Has anyone on here tried a
digital big game scale for checking
the pull weight of a bow, and if you did,
How did it work?
I am thinking of getting one to use
for checking the weight, and wanted to see if anyone has done it first.
Thanks.

stabow,
Thanks for the reply. the one I'm thinking of getting hangs up, and has a hook on the bottom.
I figured if you marked where the hook is, and made a scale down from that marked at 27" 28" 29" ect. you could pull the bow down to your draw, and and it should read the weight at that draw. It has a tare to take up the weight of the bow hanging on it. I may have to try it, to see if it works. This scale will go up to 350 lbs, so if it's accurate from 0 on up it seems to me it should work. If not, I'll have a scale to weigh deer on.  :archer:
