A great time was had by all who attended the PBS Odd Year Gathering over the weekend at Ojibwa Bowhunters in New Berlin Wisconsin. Overloading on food, shooting, and fellowship and shooting makes for a great time!
Unfortunately, I didn't do a very good job taking many pictures, but I know others did. Here are a few that I got.

Your cruel whipper. Now I am all HUNGRY again. Now tell me really who eats dinner that early? :banghead: :banghead: Great time sitting with you and the rest of the gang.<><
Oh yeah, there was a meeting of the Tippit knife collectors club... The only time you'll ever see more Tippit knives all in one place is if Tippit himself is present :D

Too bad Frank. And pork is ON your diet too! :p
So, so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOT fair Joe! You got to be with two of my favorite people in the whole world!! :bigsmyl:
Yeah brother but you got to spend time with tippit. and ya should ahve been there. I had a cigar for ya.<><
What a cruel group we have there...they knew exactly where I would come out from shooting and were sitting there waiting with their devilish smiles...
I was a true pleasure to meet so many people in person that I talk with here all the time.
PBS and TradGang go together like PB&J...or is that Pork & Sauerkraut :goldtooth:
It was a great time. Saw some old friends, met some new ones. Spent a few bucks as well.

Just got back from day three! What a great time spent with a bunch of great people, it was awesome! With the help of my son Dominic busting balloons and me hitting cheerios at 20 yards we got lucky and won the pot at the novelty shoot!
I missed meeting a couple of good people by an hour or so, Frank and Shell, thanks for the awesome knife! I wished we could of met up. Hopefully soon!
Thanks to all the great folks at Ojibiwa for hosting such a great event!
Jerry on behalf of Ojibiwa and PBS presenting Brian an award for all his hard work to put this together!
Thanks Brian, PBS and Ojibiwa!

Looks like Brian draws the lucky ticket on a new bow!

I have to agree, it was a GREAT time! The facility was outstanding, the food great and the club's hospitality was outstanding. The only thing that could have been better was the number of folks there. If Ojibwa Bowhunters offers to host the 2011 OYG, they will get my vote and I'll be there!
My sincere Thanks to all who attended and to the Ojibwa Club crew! :clapper:
Yeah I gotta say I have been to the Ojibwa Club a few times and it is first class. thanks guys.<><
Rick...missed you again on that "sweet" bow rack, thanks for sending it along with Mike, I left EARLY!
Here are a couple pictures:

I was blessed to stay with Joe and Bob in the Tajmahal. Joe is "whipping" up some scrambled eggs and antelope sausage here Saturday morning.

Mike Mitten always draws a crowd showing off "One With the Wilderness" and Sitka Gear.

Uncle Barry may have to explain this one...I think he is checking for brains? Or maybe he is going to see if the MainBeam flashlight will show thru???
Lots of fun, and I won the Dave Ricke knife!! yee ha! A nice gathering of friends, Ojibwa did a great job as hosts. I apologize for half of the entertainment on Saturday, at least Roger has talent!
I had a great time. Enjoyed meeting talking to Frank and Shell. Bye the way Frank, you could have had some left over pig for lunch today.
Yeah and if I would have went in the morning I know I could have mooched eggs and sausage from whipper.Steve ya gotta stop talking food man your Killing me bro.Great time shell and I had.<><
Sounds like a great gathering...tippit
Dang work! Looks like some of my favorite vendors, Footed Shaft, Whips Prairie Traditions, Mittens... and it was held in the home of my favorite boot maker. Looks like a swell time and good folks.
Doc, it was pitiful...they kept pulling out Tippit knife after Tippit knife, after Tippit knife...a mean spirited bunch I say :knothead:
I can't repeat many of the things Frank said; let's just say the man is CRUEL :biglaugh:
Steve you wouldnt want any of these knives there his OLD style knife. i mean there OLD real OLD! :saywhat: <><
Now Frank, you know I LOVE my knife and consider it more precious than any other because of the valuable experience it has gained! Like most fine things they get more valuable with age.
My sides still hurt from laughing so hard while you and Shell were there. I hope she feeds you something soon! But be very, very cautious about taking your vitamins! :scared:
It was great to see you again. :biglaugh:
PBS needs to be held in Hawaii one of these times :)
Jerry
Joe I would'nt part with mine for nothing. But If steve came up with the right swap I'll swap shells LOL . :scared:  :saywhat:

Then we had the pot luck dinner. I made stuffed elk tenderloin.

Sat. we hit the course with my wife Karen, son Bryan, and my nephews Dave and Vince. At this target I called the shot to shoot the tusk. My wife shot first and nailed it.

Also Sat. Kevin Bahr held a Q and A session on the PBS.

We all had a great time and hope to do it all again.
I'll agree with Whip, my belly was hurtin from the laughter listening to Frank talk about food since he can't eat any of the good stuff. Keep him in line Shell. Great to meet you both as well as reacquaint with new friends I've met over the last couple of years.
Damn, all the good laughter happens right after I go back to work! I was really hoping to meet Frank and Shell, I hear great things about you folks and have been on the receiving end of your generosity! Thanks again!
Good seeing ya again Bruce, always fun shooting with ya as well!
Well Frank,
I do know Shell is on the short list for a new style tippit knife...but I also know I wouldn't want to be the one to swap her other one :scared: tippit
Big River did awesome while playing with Roger on Saturday night at the campfire, Brian is very modest in regards to his singing and guitar work.
