Planned is a morning hunt for squirrels fallowed by a midday shooting and Fellowship gathering, some folks may want to do a early evening deer stand or may just want to hang out around the fire with some friends! Plenty of camping available , but you may want come out early for the best spots! Mike

Ben I will defiantly keep a good stock of large shirts and have them for Guernsey. Thanks for your interest! Mike :)
-
Glad to see this up on Pow Wow THANKS Terry! Mike Thanks for not putting your mug on the shirt pictures :) they should sell better that way :) .
Denny
-
Denny, did you see that mug shot on the other forum??? :scared:
-
I'll talk to my son about that and try to clear the calendar. GOSH - lol.
I'm assuming this supersedes the annual TradGang camp there that's been occurring the past couple of years - is that correct?
-
I will be doing my best to come down for this one. I may have company though, my 10 year old daughter will most likly come with. She is dieing to come on a hunt with dad, and this one mite be the one.
-
Jim, No I was fortunate enough not to see that one :) .
Denny
-
OK.
Mike I'm planning to show up for the squirrel hunt and I would like an extra large shirt.
Hope you don't mind me posting about the trad deer hunt so close(time wise) to yours. No offense intended.
-Charlie
Jim,
Still planning the hunt...look for the thread posted today and be sure to vote!
-
Nice! :-D
-
Don't worry Denny I is a shot of your form & not where the arrow landed!
-
I think my son and I are planning to be there on Saturday and *maybe* on Sunday. T-shirts would be great if that option is still open. I wear XL and Dylan wears L.
Just let me know how much and how/where/when I can pay you. Thanks man!
-
Jim I still have lots of shirts & I will be making another order. Mike
-
It was a lot easier to keep this post fresh when it was on the Events Forum! :help:
-
I still want Tshirt!!!!
-
Mark What Size?
-
This should be on the events forum because it is way more than JUST a Hunt! its a Traditional rendezvous, 3-D Shoot Camp Fire, Blue Grass Band Camp out, Poker Run Archery Equipment , hunting , Fishing , Hiking, Gathering, Bow Building Arrow making, String twisting Get together! (((((((ON STEROIDS )))))))) MIKE
-
I Hope this thing gets SO BIG we take over the whole park!
-
Mike,
You are getting out of control! I'm just having a trad deer hunt with some shirts! LOL.

-

Mark I will let you know when I make the next order and take care of you. Short or long Sleeves?
-
Has any one had any experience with Steel silhouettes ? I'm going to have ten of them for a speed round, It should be just as fun watching!
-
Better start footing your arrows! Carbon arrows footed with aluminum will hold up to the iron squirrels! Just ask Oldskool about it!
-
footed carbons is all I shoot, I tried to bust them on the iron bunny at GORH, couldn't do it. Only broke 2 in almost 2 years of shooting them and one I didn't really break, I shot it in half.
-
Footed Carbons? is that OLD SCHOOL? :saywhat:
-
It's the New Improved oldskool
-
:biglaugh: Funny Rob!
I have heard carbon is about as old as you can get. So I guess we are Oldskool!
-
I'll have plenty of rubber blunts for us newbees! :bigsmyl:
-
Rubber blunts??? Ace hex heads are the only way to go.
-
Seems to me next year you guys should come up this way for a marmot hunt! Looks like lots of fun down in Ohio.
-
Rick sounds like a plan! If & when I become very wealthy it will be my treat! How is the weather up there? Mike

Thanks~ Ben~ I knew it would be a challenge keeping this post fresh, :D Until it gets closer
-
no problem............just trying to keep it fresh :readit: :campfire:
-
I'm looking at Foam silhouette instead of Steel I think more people will participate ! :archer:
-
Yeah I hate blowing up fresh made wood arrows. Thats much more arrow friendly, plus i think we're going to be losing enough of them shooting at squirels.
-
you mean you don't want to hear the smack of the arrow hitting the steal? Thats part of the fun. I'll shoot my carbons in them, huh Charlie.
-
Yeah I saw you shooting your carbons at the bunny at GORH. I just really hate to see alot of hard work go down the drain in a quick snap of ash particals flying through the air. Plus you have aluminum footing on your carbons.
-
Foam is fer sissys. :knothead:
-
Good answer Jim, how are your footed carbons holding up?
-
celticknot, bring me some of your ash arrows and I'll put aluminum footing on them for ya.
-
OK we can do both :smileystooges:

As for shirts, Has anyone who wanted one not got one yet? :saywhat:
-

-
Mike...I'd love to make it, but: That week/weekend is the middle of a 10 day work stretch. I might see about a quick trip/visit down, but can't guarantee it.
If I don't see you there, maybe Matt can get the shirt I ordered off you and I can even up with him.
Thanks for the comment on the pic :campfire:
-
Ben,

Heading to Zanesville after the holiday to visit family. Plan on running down to the campsite and scout the area a bit. Looks like I will be laid off for a while so the Ohio Squirrel and Deer hunts are a go for me. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
-
Let us know what you think! Glad you can make it Sorry about your job though! Looking forward to the fellowship myself! :campfire: MIKE
-
I went squirell hunting this weekend and lost over a hundred dollars in arrows and points. Mainly because one got stuck and tried to shoot it down and then another got stuck and tried to shoot it down and so on. But here is my advice for wood shooters. Get a bunch of seconds shafts use old feather trimmings in 5/8n incraments to make up a flu flu style arrow and use the cheap steel blunts everyone sells and find someone who shoots .38 cal bullets and grab there shells and pound them on the blunts. they hit hard and are hard to loose and if you do your not out a $2-$4 small game head on a squirell. Oh and VERY VERY BRIGHT fletching.when your only dumping $3.50 an arrow instead of $6-$15 it makes you feel a little better when it gets hung up in a tree and you have to walk away.
-
I only miss that many times at OSTA shoots Irish! :goldtooth:
Oh yeah, I missed the #^&|* elk on course B too!
I still say shoot squirrels with broadheads and only on the ground!
-Charlie
-
Where is the fun then? I'm gonna try and make extra fluflu's so some people can launch some cheap arra's in the trees with me.
-
I'll Bring the Wing Shot!

I just heard from Danny Hughes the GOSH Skinner is ready go!and he is also making some costom GOSH arm guards!

The 3rd is my wedding reception, so I'm thinking it's a no for me. (actually got married back in May, but thought Fall would be a nice time to have a party)
-
sounds like you chose poorly.(for the hunt)
-
We found a few of your arrows Irish, they just kinda fell out dont worry i lost two more when we went out there the other day.
-
TOM
I don't think you chose poorly! It is a great time to have a party!! We think alike
-
especially at a squirell hunt, maybe relocate? Just my 2 cents
-
Wait, wait, wait, you got married in May but chose opening weekend of deer season for the reception. WHAT??????????? :scared: :banghead:

TIME TO BE SERIOUS :saywhat:
All available funds are going to a 12 year old girl at Cincinnati Children s Hospital. Tori who has cystic fibrosis and is in need of a liver transplant. the expenses are mounting and they need help. she is in constant pain But never complains about it.her biggest wish is to go deer hunting with her uncles.money raised at the Gosh is going to the family to ease the burden Mike
-
ttt
-
Torie is doing pretty good. She has her good days and her bad days. She gets tired very easily and that bugs the heck out of her. She would rather run than walk and usually if she can't run, she won't go. Torie goes to school 2-3 days a week for 1/2 day and then is tutored the rest of the time. They have to go to Cincinnati Children's Hospital soon for an evaluation and to have some kind of bands wrapped around her liver. I'm not sure what that procedure is all about, I just know she has to have it done periodically.
Hearing of the generosity from the OSTA family overwhelmed them tremendously
-
Up for Dan!
-
ONE LAST TIME
-
This will be me and my boys first official hunt! I can't wait! He'll be sportin' the bow I won for him at GORH 2009!

Up for Zach!
