I started shooting trad a year ago, last July. This was my first trad deer shot w/ PSE Impala and a 2016 w/125 Magnus 2 blade. I shot her on public land. 12 yards from the ground.
About 2 weeks later I got this doe on public land with the same bow and arrow. I was in a treestand and the shot was 20 yards. I watched this one go down.
LOL Pac - 12 yards from the ground ! Whew! That is a staggering 36 feet up in the tree :D :archer:
Our deer are sneaky that way. Bet yours don't hide up in the trees. That's why I always carry a flu flu w/ a broadhead.
I shot this 6 point this past year with a 47# takedown recurve that my father made me about 35 years ago. 18 yard shot from a treestand and watched him go down about 50 yards out. Sorry the picture isn't that great. It started to rain and I didn't take the limbskins off the bow for the pic and it had those really hairy yarn silencers on. Too bad because the limbs are a very pretty forest green.
