Title: Heavier Arrow Question
Post by: tim roberts on July 11, 2009, 04:51:00 PM
Got my new Bear's Paw a little while back, and have been trying to find the right arrow.  The bow is a 60" longbow and is 59# @ 26".
First I started out with a Beman 400, regular insert and a 125 gr. point,  went down to 27" and got it flying pretty good.  Got a few 340's from a friend that are 29" long with the 100gr. insert.  They fly well and the bow likes them, only problem it they kick tail high, (very high).  I have my knock points tied in above and below the knock point, tried shooting above and below, and still got the same results..........
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Seems like the stiffer spine is causing it to kick off the shelf maybe? are you getting any shelf wear from those 340s? Try a little more weight up front to weaken the spine.
