I cannot tell you all how this makes me feel. Darcy's dad my younger brother past away just two weeks ago. One of the last things he asked me to do was sell his bows for him. They needed the money for med, bill. He was told he had panc. cancer on april 28 and left us 2 months and 3 days later. The day I took his bows to sell I cried all the way home. There are tears in my eyes now. Both of hope and saddness. Somany poeple have put a little hope in our lives these last few months I cannot begin to tell you. This is just one of the blessings that we have received. thank you vermonster and weekend warrior. My brother served his country in the Navy for 21 years. He retiered 5 years ago. That is what a hero is to me. A man who serves with honor and takes care of his family. I am proud to be his brother
Tradfergie, you put tears in my eyes....hang in there bro...

Tradfergie,
Sorry about your brother. That almost happened to me, and I saw lots of people during my treatments that suffered a similar fate. I don't know why God takes some of us and cures others, but I do know you brother is in a wonderful place right now. It is those of us who remain on this side who suffer the loss, like you and Darcy and the rest of your brother's family. God bless and keep all of you in your time of suffering from the loss of your brother.

Yes I do know that, But it is tough when it is your younger brother. But the worst is that my dad has been survo\\ing panc cancer for over two years. His was caught early compaired to my brother's. The bad thing is darcy cannot understand why Grandpa is live and her dad is not. I don't mean it to sound that way but you know what I mean Each day is better but there are still bad times. And I believe that if I get to hunt this year I am sure that times in the stand will be hard. My brother and I always like to set where we could watch each other. Not always the best for deer sightings but it made fun to watch each other when they did so up. I look forward to sharing with my son and darcy what me and my brother shared
Peace to you and your family ..

I've been so busy recently that I am getting to this thread late. Congratulations to Darcy on her new bow/arrows/accessories and blessings to you, Tradfergie, for being the kind of guy who cares about his brother's daughter. I'm sure that God and your brother are both smiling.

Way to go!
It is wonderful that Darcy can now share in something that brought joy to her father, and that she has an uncle to help her through the hard parts. As a Navy brat, this hits home to me, and I am so glad to see that family, and I mean the TG family as well as Darcy's real family, has come together to help Darcy find healing and meaning in all the events that have taken place.
Blessings and peace,
Killdeer :campfire:
Hope it brings her a smile or two.
Mike, Received the Quiver and arm guard today. Very nice. I will give it to Darcy this weekend. Can wait to get you my hide and see what you do with it
Thanks
Allan
Have fun.
