Hiya, does anyone have any other type paints they use for cresting besides bohning.
Thanks
Dave
Testors
Acrylic craft paints from Wal-mart or any other craft store. On sale they're about $.50 a bottle. Water clean up, more colors than you can shake a stick at, they work great.
Photobucket is under maintenance right now. When it comes back up I'll put in a picture or two.

Guy
The Metallic craft paints from Wal Mart make really nice cresting.
I also use the Walmart small jar pains in the 4 oz size. Work great and not a bad price. ALso craft stores seem to have them.
Whispering Winds cresting paint. Water clean up no smell, and tough as nails.
Testors model paints.
Awesome fellas I had always thought Acrylics and testors paints would work; I just never broke down and tried them.
Thank you all very much for the info
permanent makers for pin stripes. let it dry good before touching!
Dave,
I have recently started using the Testors brand laquer paints. Interesting colors and after the clear coat are tougher than the arrow will ever be.
I get them at Hobby Lobby in both small containers and spray can.

Crushed blue berries, Raspberries or RIT die.
I use body shop paints"automobile", they work great and usally you can get them free.I know I do.
I buy a brand of acrylic enamel in one ounce jars from a hobby shop. I'm on vacation so I can't give you the brand but hobby shops have several to choose from. Works great.
I use a variety of spray paints and just blow them into a small dish or vial. As they come out of the can is just the viscosity you want for good coverage and flow from your brush. Don't have to worry about little boogers getting in your paint from the bottle and thinning is a thing of the past.
Definitely gonna have to give some of these other paints a try. Thanks for the suggestions.
Whata score...went to wally world this morning. 24colors, 1/2oz , acrylic paints and 7 natural hair brushes. 16 bucks...gota like that
I use Sharpie pens. They come in several colors, and are mess-free.
Testors all the way
