Nice looking bows
Those are some great looking bows. I've always liked Dale Dye bows but could never afford one. Same with the Morrison's. That's the first time I've ever seen bright pink and chartreuse string silencers.
All 3 Dyes were bought used and I had Dale refinish them and build us some limbs that are our draw weight and draw length. Two of the Dye recurves were originally 58" bows and one was a 60". The 58" bows are now a 60" bow. (Wife's) and a 62", the 60" bow is now a 64". I was able to sell the old limbs to help fund the new limbs. Dale did a great job and we are very pleased with the way these bows shoot. The 18"short riser 62" is my favorite and it's the bow in my avatar pic. Dale Dye & Bob Morrison are both great gentlemen to deal with. You really couldn't go wrong either way.
I also have to add a Thank you to Schafer Silvertip bows for custom building the takedown limb knobs to fit my 2 Dye bows
Well MO. deer season is open and I have settled on hunting with the ebony 64". I'm shooting a 550gr. carbon tipped with a Centaur archery 2 blade head and I'm also using the string silencers Centaur sells. I like these heads and string silencers alot. When it cools off I'm eager to get in the woods and hunt!
I had my Dye in Colorado last week, came close to a shot at an elk, here is a pic next to a bear track on the trail.

That 43# one just catch's my eye the most...
Kinda really liking the 37# too...
Dale Dye owners I have a nice set of antler limb bolts made by stickshooter for sale, $50.00 TYD. The bolt length is 1 1/4 inch. Also have a nice set made by stickshooter that are 1 3/8 and have a turkey foot on them, $50.00 TYD. tom massaro ( not trying to high jack the thread, would like to see these on some bows).
Hogdancer all I can say is WOW! That is one sweet bow, and a great shooter I'm sure. Best of luck with the new bow!
Hogdancer, What are the specs on that one? Love the wood combo. Thanks Greg
it is 60 inches, 54 @28, ebony with bacote center stripe and bloodwood, purpleheart and maple ? points in it. absolutly dead quiet !
Thomas, I see a couple different braodheads in that GN. whats your arrow set up. BILL
I use goldtip shafts with 100 gr. brass inserts and woodsman heads, the differance in the heads is that some are the newer non vented ones. Don't really know how much the whole set-up weights and I have no idea about the FOC thing. This combination has served me well and flies good from most of my bows, so I stick with it.
