Well, my dad gave me a gift of a half dozen carbons recently and got me hooked. I just love the consistency of carbons. I'll definitely keep shooting wood for the tradition of it, but I sure like to watch these carbons fly. I put 3/4 inch footings on them per Pac's instructions to toughen up the end a little and keep them from splitting on hard impacts. They fly great and look pretty sharp too. CX predator 2 shafts, 220gr up front. Thanks to Tim from Braveheart archery (a sponsor here) for getting me set up and great customer service!

Nice. Why did you extend the arrows? Were they too short or is it for looks? Thanks. Ken
Very nice
I don't think he extended them, he just added some footing over the ends to make them tougher. Kinda like a bullet proof vest.
Those look great Roman! Beautiful Job
Rob..
ya, like KY ROB said, the extra on the end is just a footing, kind of like an aluminium sleeve around the end of the shaft to keep them from splitting on hard impacts.
If you like the consistency of carbon wait untill you try aluminum they are even more consistent yet.
And the Full Metal Jackets are even better
Very nice work! :clapper:
They look great! ;)
Nice looking arrows
Hallo (http://i777.photobucket.com/albums/yy54/Stefanha/weihnachten2008001.jpg)
What size did you use, 2117 or 2216? Looks great. That will help your carbons last longer. Just keep an eye on the nock end...sometimes a hard hit will split them there too....check em out after each questionable hit.
Ishi, the 2117's fit best. Thanks a ton for the shafts. Very generous. I'll keep an eye on the nock end.
