Title: lightweight predator camo pants
Post by: Oregon Okie on July 03, 2009, 06:05:00 PM
Anyone have the "lightweight polyester pant" from the predator web site?
Not alot of info about the material on there. I don't want cotton but wanted to hear about this fabric. Is it quiet.. i'm assuming yes. How durable? Fit? etc. Looking for a light weight set up and can't jump into the sitka yet although I like it.

I've got the pants and hunted this season with them.  IMO, they are not as "lightweight" as the name implies, but then again, my definition of lightweight is similar to the 3oz weight of Ex Officio type nylon pants. I heat up very quickly, and normally stay warm when others are cold. That said, they are very quiet, comfortable, dry quick and are lighter than the average hunting pant.  Good for just about any situation other than sitting in cold temps or high activity/temps hunting.

When compared to cotton pants they are lightweight but do get warm. It is nothing that I can not deal with just surprising for such thin material. Also they have a little tighter weave and to me provide a little protection from skeeters.

They are extremely quiet, very durable, dry quickly, and are packable. I have been wearing a pair for a couple seasons and for the price they are hard beat. As far as fit they are about the same as most cotton except not as baggy in the legs.

I really like mine and wear them during the early season and on warmer days down here.
