Received a gift certificate from 3 rivers for Fathers Days, looking at buying the BPE Pro Fletcher would like ya'll opinion on this item. Will probably use it mostly for repairs at this time and the eventual dozen of arrow each season. I know the Blitzenburger (sp) is the most popular but not looking to spend a lot at this time, would the BPE suffice?
I have been using the BPE for about 10 years now and love it. I don't see any cons in it. It will do anything you could possibly want a fletcher to do in my opinion.
The BPE Pro should suffice just fine!
I got mine a little more than a year ago. I have fletched 3 or 4 dozen with it. It will do 3 fletch, any 4 fletch and 6 for flu flu, right out of the box.
The only issues I have had are with some low profile 4" banana fletching that didn't take much of a helical. Larger fletching and a different shape should work fine. I ended up doing the low pro bananas in a 4 fletch (60 x 120) straight offset and they fly great.
I have used a BPE fletcher,no complaints. It was very adjustable, you could position the cock feather where you wanted to start. It worked great on my wood arrows and aluminum with glue-on nocks. They will work just fine,I bought an extra clamp for doing both RW and LW.
I bought a pair of BPE's probably back in '92 or so. I couldn't remember how many hundred -- if not thousands -- or arrows I'm made with them, but they've always worked great.
Thanks guys, look like it'll do what i need and more.
Have had mine for a dozen years or more and done aluminums and carbons of various sizes, fletch types etc and have had no problems.
I have a BPE and a Bitz and I like the BPE a little better, the adjustments seem finer and easier to me.
