thought I'd intro myself... I've been shooting since the late 70's but have only had compounds and only in the past couple seasons been actually out in the woods hunting... i'm just gettin started in augmenting my compound hunting rig with traditional gear... not sure I'll make a complete transition to trad gear but I want to give it a try and see how I like it...

This is a great place to get started, and Joe's enthusiasm is definitely contagious! You'll find plenty of encouragement in your experimentation with trad gear, but I do have to warn you - it can quickly become very addicting!
I'm guessing you will find yourself having more fun shooting a bow than you ever thought possible and before long you will find yourself totally immersed!
Welcome to the Gang!
Right On Target Whip! Shootin' a trad bow can be lots of fun. Gotta learn the right stuff from the get go. It will have ya hittin' soda cans at hunting ranges real soon. Give it a try.

Welcome from Kentucky Tony.
Welcome to our trad community  .
once you see that tight circle of spinning feathers fly out of your bow to the target, feel that thump in your hand........you will be a changed man.
Here's hoping you love every minute...

Welcome to trad shooting! I started 2 yrs ago, bought a junker & then a nice Bear Kodiak Magnum off of **** and have missed 3 deer with the Bear. I recently made 2 decisions - I gave away my perfect Martin compound and bought a new Martin Serengeti 45lb recurve. Align yourself with someone local to coach you if possible. Plenty of knowledgable guys on here also, all willing to help. good Luck!
