Cheapest one you can buy would be a garage sale solid fiberglass bow, under $5.00.

Good luck!

An October Mtn Adirondack Hunter will cost around $200.00.  The lowest poundage they make is 40lbs.

A selfbow that you make out of a stave you cut down and split.

I've built several from cutoff edges they sell at the local hardwood store. Usually .50 to $2. Not available everywhere. that U.S. 50 cents    :bigsmyl:

Martin Stick. They come in weights from 25 to 55#. My son has a 50# Stick. They are Hill style, straight grip bows that draw very smoothly and have decent speed for a straight bow. I think I gave about $125 for Dave's bow on the auction site 2-3 years ago. They only weigh 12 ounces! Even with a bow quiver, they are pretty light. Plus they are nearly bomb-proof.

+1.  Buy a straight grain board and go to town.
