Looking for someone who will refinish a bow for me....Can someone steer me in the right direction
You will find two top-notch refinishers in the History and Collectors' forum. They are Droptine and Bowdoc.
I think both of them have breathed a few too many fumes, but they do great work.
Droptine has an ad running in the Sponsors' classifieds, but Bowdoc isn't hard to find either.

No first hand experience, but I hear that Jim Belcher does a nice job as well...Mike
I've had first hand experience with Rich (droptine). I let the pics do the talking. Before:

Get ahold of all three and check on price and wait time.
I have personal experience with both droptine59 and the real bowdoc and can't speak highly enough about both of them. Can't go wrong with either. PM them and go from there.
Well bowdoc is a bit out of action for the next couple of weeks as he's huntin' & cookin' at Bear Quest right now...but he does some mighty fine work...Doc

Thanks, Kurt...I think so too. Really nice piece of Rosewood.
what is the llittle feather glued on there for ?
It's a feather rest. More common in older bows.
Try it yourself. Here's a '61 Kodiak Special I finished the other day.A couple hours, couple bucks for sandpaper and some minwax poly wipe on.It don't compare to Bowdocs or Droptines work, but I don't think it come out too bad,for the first one.If it don't come out to your likeings you can still send it out for a professional job.
